I watched the original series in 1998, read the manga in 2011 and finally watched it animated in 2022, it was a very very long wait

I like how Dai honored both his father and master greatly by combining both of their greatest attacks into a new and more powerful attack. Dai is basically Goku in the Dragon Quest world, he is very smart in combat. The ability to cut through everything from the Avan Strash combined with the great devastating power of the Giga Break, along with with the power of the dragon crest, to finally make the Giga Strash. What surprised me even more is that he made the move on the spot. I wonder how good the Dorunga gonna look in the anime later on.

It's not just that. One of the subplot of a fair chunk of Dai's journey is whether he's human or non-human by virtue of being half Dragon Knight. If we consider Avan Strash as the strongest attack from one of the strongest humans in the world, and Giga Break as the strongest non-Doruora attack a Dragon Knight can do, Dai combining them is symbolic to what he believes he is, as he said, a "culmination of all the battles Ive experience has come to": he is both a human and a Dragon Knight. This is probably why, far above Avan Strash Cross that is an upgrade of a pure human skill, Giga Strash is the one worthy of being called the ultimate attack and his strongest skill.

@@leektarantino8420 I mean from the "Impact" this scene doesnt look bad, it has force, voice acting and animations. But their dialogues sound like some fairy tail stuff. Since i dont know the original source i cant judge the whole show. But right now i have the feeling its some mixture between Dragon ball and fairy tail, which gives me nightmares.

リメイクでマジで戦闘ごとの緊張感と技の応酬に、オリジナルのエフェクトを付けさらに上のステージに完成させてくれたアニメスタッフとこの演出にGoサインを出してくれた原作者にも感謝しかない。

最初、ダイは父親の得意技『ギガブレイク』を放つと誰もが思っていたが…😲 まさか、師匠であるアバンの技『アバンストラッシュ』を合わせた合体技【ギガストラッシュ】炸裂!! まさに、「息子は父を越え」「弟子は師匠を越える」2つの意味でダイは2人を越える必殺技を編み出した!! しかも1:14ダイが剣を右手で逆手持ちした時はハドラーと同じリアクションをしましたよ 1:22アバンの姿が出た時はハドラーと同じ事を言いましたよ😅 1:46ハドラーの剣をダイが避けた時…ハドラーは悟ったのかもしれない『こいつには勝てない』と

新たな鞘で魔法剣がパワーアップするようになったので、魔法はライデインだけど、チャージでギガデインにパワーアップするのでこのラストシーンはギガデインによる魔法剣ですよ。

趙優れた原作の数少ない不満点・・ギガストラッシュだと気がついたハドラーが「ゲェェェ・・っ」ってキン肉マンのキャラみたいに驚くところはリアルタイムで読んでて僅かに興を削がれてたんだけど、アニメではそれを削除して、より気持ちよく挑んでやられる描写に先鋭化させてて、最高の演出例だと思った。

Cried with that.. twice.. and further with Hadlar's redemption. Waited more than 20 years to see the end of this anime. Hadlar realized that he was only a Vearn's puppet the whole time and left betrayed.

What redembtion? He remained a villain to the end he just became an honrable warrior on the side of evil but honorable. His "reincarnation" was the redeemed one.

I believe that he wanted to prove his skills as warrior..this is pretty clear for many of us.. honor, proud, although facing an enemy such strong as Dai..however, my point about the Hadlar's redemption is.. he SAVED Pop.. He prayed for the ''Human God'', and ultimately SACRIFICED himself in the flames, @@Raximus3000. And after that, came back as a good character. I mean, I felt really happy about this, like few other animes made me do, cause who can expect that from a demon? If this is not Redemption, I don't know what it is.

He was not some small time lackey he was a mastermind who fell under a greater evil and not once he felt bad about all the evil he had done! You're inept. The original was overshadowed by DragonBall's style and music choice. Here, they gave it a unique appearance. This anime has MORE LOVE put into it than every season of Dragonball Super put together! They respected the source material, loyally stuck to it, and added to what we had seen years ago. *The music here is better than any crap you listen too, and each song likely cost more than your annual salary just to make. Grow up.*

原作をジャンプで読んだ時 ギガブレイクとアバンストラッシュを掛け合わせるのはわかったんだよね。 ダイの集大成の技だから。 でも名前をどうするんだろうと思ってた。 ギガデインストラッシュ？ アバンストラッシュ・ギガ？ どうもしっくりこないなと 思ったけど ギガ・ストラッシュか～ って当時はちょっと感動してた。 確かに語呂的にもいい
