I really appreciate your honesty about the contract they asked you to sign but didn't. I value as a viewer that you don't ever compromise your integrity by caving in to brand contracts that want you to falsify your opinions if you don't actually like their products. Maybe I’ll get a couple of lipsticks but for the rest I will definitely pass. Not worth the money and Gigi is no makeup artist to put these price tags on these *drugstore* items. Very honest review. I’ll save me some good money 💰 here. Thanks Tati!

I agree with you completely....but I doubt Gigi has a say on the price...its more like maybeline trying to keep their profit margins while paying Gigi for using her celebrity.

Sarah Harper not to mention CP is vegan and cruety-free. I barely buy anything from the drug store anymore. Id rather throw in the extra $5.00 and get something that has quality ingredients.

Sarah Harper AGREED! The Colourpop palettes are just really great, better pigmented, and the color selections are beautiful for the price. I have the Yes, Please! Palette and it quickly becomes a huge favorite.

Thank you for emphasing on the concept on obtaining a lawyer. I understand many youtubers (especially smaller ones) may not be able to afford a lawyer but what many youtuber fail to acknowledge is that when you are a growing KZfaqr, you're running a business which means you need to hire people for your own protection. A growing KZfaq channel means a growing business and you need to start handling it as if it's a business, that way your name (which is the brand) won't be jeapoardized. And yes, ALWAYS ALWAYS read EVERY contract before signing. Opportunities are exciting but do not hurt yourself by the failure to read the contracts.

I don't know about other states, but Georgia, and my city in particular, has a Legal Services Program where people can obtain free legal advice and referrals to specialized attorneys if need be. That can be a starting place for young people trying to start a business but not having all the resources they need. Remember to always always always CYA!!!

I honestly believe Gigi Hadid is highly overrated. I watched Maybelline's Instagram story where she was explaining why she picked the packaging and she drummed up so much excitement only to have an airheaded answer. "Because I liked the color." Nothing else. I don't think she had much to say because I don't think she put much effort into this or even made some of these decisions. She just put her name on it and called it a day. I'm not wasting my money on any of these products. Just my own personal opinion.

Agree with you.. I felt rihanna is doing much better for oily skin types, on the other hand selena for dry skin types. I love their products. They are actually concern about Their brand and the prices are much reasonable.

Hi Tati, at the end when you said you would feature a high end product in tomorrow’s video it gave me an idea. You should have a segment called “High End, Low Price” where you feature products that feel and act super high end yet are affordable. I know you do this from time to time and do dupe videos but as a grad student that works full time and doesn’t have a ton of money and can’t remember all of these dupes from vloggers, it would be awesome to see that kind of video from time to time. To me the city mini palettes and the lipsticks look the most exciting, but I really can't get over how much Maybelline increased the pricing for just the packaging and a name. If it was one or two dollars, I don't think I would care as much, but to me it's too drastic and not enough of this stuff is unique enough to spend the extra cash.

...when you put that primer on - literally every black girl when she goes to put on a 'dark' foundation and it turns out to actually be 'tan' in colour.. I was livid for you lol an extra triggered! I suppose you got to learn the art of 'making it work' that people with fair and dark skin tones have to do on a regular basis. I've been so into the beauty community on yt for a few years and over the past year stopped watching almost all of my "favorite" beauty gurus bc they no longer seem genuine, try too hard etc. except for tati! she seems so down to earth and such a good person and sincere i absolutely love her. anytime I go to buy new makeup I go thru tatis videos for a review first cuz I know I can trust her. long comment for no reason but I just wanted to say thank you for being you tati! its refreshing and you're so appreciated!

Kristin Bacon Right? She has far better and younger looking skin than I do at age 30. Kind of bothers me to hear self deprecating remarks she makes toward her own looks. I know she is saying it in a light hearted fashion but it may make someone who has legit skin issues feel even more insecure and self conscious. Our society already sets these unrealistic standards for what constitutes true beauty. And the age thing. People are having full on debates over her age. I thought she was only 35, but when I said that, I had a slew of people jump on me saying she's at least in her early 40s. 🤷‍♀️If I looked like her, i would proudly own my age. She is beautiful regardless.

+Mari Upton - Maybelline wanted Tati to sign a contract limiting what should could or could not say about their products. Tati opted to not sign the agreement so she could keep her channel transparent and review the products as she sees fit. I agree with her decision.

Just by watching your videos, you're SUCH a nice and understanding person and not at all judgemental (in a harsh way) about cheaper makeup and makeup brands. It's so refreshing to watch someone be so kind about such things and not just start saying 'ew, i can't, no' at the fact something is cheap and not high-end makeup. You keep it real, even with cheaper products and as a college student who is constantly on a struggle to look good on a budget, I really appreciate that about you. ^^

This whole collection honestly looks quite boring not sure what it is whether it's the packaging or the lack of funnish colors but it's visually lacking and then I saw the prices and was like"woah maybeline calm down" lol I don't know who Gigi is so I don't have that intrigue in it as well I dunno easy pass for me .I thought NYX was getting out of hand price wise with the element palettes also ,thanks for giving us smaller channels a tip in the beginning
