I saw these dudes in French Guiana. I was there as a missionary driving on an empty road back to Cayenne from the Suriname border with several other missionaries. Out of freaking nowhere, these dudes come out of the jungle, sprint across the road, and disappear. None of us understood what just happened because there's nothing but thick jungle on either side of the road and these guys just came out of thin air and were gone in a matter of seconds. The level of commitment they must have had... Trust me, the Guyane jungle is not a fun place. I can't imagine trucking through it with all the gear they had on.

Toutes mes condoléances aux familles des trois soldats qui ont donné leurs vie en opération et aux seize autres qui ont perdu la vie en entraînement dans cette unité d’élite.
