If you have to say “TAKE THE BIGS OUT” then your point is already invalid. If you have to restrict or limit your argument, it’s a flawed one. Rudy Gobert and Giannis have won DPOY within the last 4 years (‘20 and ‘21). Victor Wembanyama will win MANY in his career. Awful take.

There are not many good guard defenders these days and there aren’t many European guards, so going hand in hand is even rarer. Probably the best euro origin perimeter guard right now is Dennis Schroder.

bro has to put restrictions to make his point valid… most of euro players are bigs, and those bigs are some of the best in the NBA at defending 😂 there’s a few guards, they’re not lockdown defenders but they’re not liabilities on defense. Plenty of Americans are the same way.

Gilbert Arenas sounds a little racist of the European basketball players. I’ll have a starting 5 of Luka, F.Wagner, Markennen, Gianni’s, and JOKIC. Bench would be Dennis Shroeder, Bogdan bogdanavic, Bojan Bogdanavic, domanatas Sabonis, and Wemby as your bench. Then to add more depth, we will add Gobert, Kristaps Porzingis. I mean, that is a solid squad. He just a talker, doesn’t understand change in the NBA.

Whats the point tho like yeah maybe there are not many great europeans guards or fowards at defense but even then what has that to do with anything lol, most of the greatest defenders are players that dedicate to defend, I don't think role defenders in Europe are being brought to the NBA as only the best of them will get there so this is just a pointless debate while the top 5 players in todays NBA are still foreign and that's what really bothers him
