Both Penny and Kobe were confident players and KNEW they were nice from an early age so they weren't gonna let Shaq think he could let them take a back seat. DWade wasn't highly recruited and grew into a star and always respected Shaq and Shaq liked his humbleness, so he had no problems giving DWade the keys. Kobe and Penny were probably more arrogant, but in a competitive way, and being the sensitive guy Shaq is, they rubbed him the wrong way at times. Just my take.

You have to adjust for a lot of things. It’s possible former players seen them display a skill set beyond what happened on the court in an NBA game. Not every coach will play through the big like Denver does.

Top 5 centers, for me I would pick Dream before Shaq easily. Dream was just to versatile. He would be just as effective at the beginning of a game and at the end. He would hit his free throws and let’s not even talk about defense. As for picking him over MJ, that’s just ridiculous. I love the big fella, but come on man. They built teams around Shaq, some really good teams like they had to do with MJ and MJ still won more.
