Ya right the UFC was upset enough when Gilbert exposed Chimaev the first time. Little Burns taking it to giant weight bully Chimaev. Saved by the judges. UFC won't risk that again. They'll give him a few more guys' retirement fights, or guys with 0 grappling. That was an awesome fight but the only reason it was close is because burns is fighting a weight class up and Chimaev is fighting a weight class down.

Burns is a great fighter. I love how he’s got some of the sickest BJJ in the game and still stands and throws bombs lol. People were saying Charles was the best BJJ practitioner in the UFC but he’s been submitted many times. Burns has never been submitted once and was a BJJ champ outside of the UFC.

I love Burns. The way he knocks people out and then stops before the reg stops him is awesome. Most fighters just keep hitting the unconscious dudes head till the ref grabs them.

Would be cool but they 1.) train at the same gym and 2.) shavkat turned down this fight even after Geoff Neal pulled out which means shavkat respects burns and knows Geoff Neal is a much easier matchup for him. I don’t think shavkat will be calling for a gilbert burns

He won in dominant fashion, why risk getting KO'd when you can basically secure a victory, GSP did it for his entire title reign, don't take unnecessary risks. It's called having good fight IQ. This isn't Diego Sanchez we're talking about here

Shame Burns vs Khabib or Islam won't ever happen He's CUT to win against Khabib. Heavy hands and world class BJJ. Combo Khabib never dealt with at all. But they just had to be in different weight classes or they just had to have the same manager or they just had to be friends. Whatever stopped the fight from happening with the ONE GUY that would have DESTROYED KHABIB Honestly Burns oughta be willing to put that friendship aside to address the disrespect Khabib showed to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
