Well zoo has an issue of not being able to spread huge amounts of power, yes the deck can easily spread out but it can't contest with a single big card. Usually you have Cull Obsidian for scenarios such as these but I think Gilgamesh just gives you a much bigger swing which is what zoo needs. Not to mention he doesn't force you to change many cards in your zoo deck since your gameplan remains the same, only now you have a card that can very easily scale for you.

I made a new Thanos deck with Gilgamesh and I found I was often playing two cards so I threw in thena as well. it uses the stones for 1 drops so you can include Sasquatch mockingbird and the stones also let you play Cull all that power and Blue Marvel on mockingbird lets you also play a cheap Skaar. the other cards are flexible and I am still working them out.

Doc ock just kinda sucks as a card nowadays, youre almost guaranteed to be helping your opponent unless your up against a destroy deck.

Yeah, I get that Shang Chi sees less play now (especially after the Zabu nerf) but I think most decks benefit from Doc Ock. I don't think he's a bad card but he's very dependant on the meta.

I honestly couldn't see the problem with him. Are there other cards that might be better? Yes, but if you are not collecting complete or if your level is still kind of low, he seems like a strong card to slot in some decks, especially considering pretty much everyone has Blue Marvel

Isn’t he mostly used now to clog a lane you don’t mind losing to set up cannonball? Alternative / poor man’s proX. Or you can play him on an already clogged lane as a body if you don’t have anything better to do.

I love Doc Ock, I use him to pull power cards and the like into an area that either don't need to win or maybe deal with later. I run him in my mill deck. Wipe out their deck and then pull all their hand cards to a zone that I don't care about.

Thena is overwhelmingly good. So much so that I suppose she might get nerfed. Probably 2/2 or 2/3 with +2 each proc. But we'll see if Shadow King will get back to control Thena from overtaking the meta.

I slotted him in for Sera in my Surfer deck with pretty decent results. It does give me another vertical lane to go with Shaw but it forces me to get Killmonger or Surfer out a bit earlier. The artwork for the base and variant is trash though.

I’m not doing zoo at all an my Gilgamesh Deck is fun asf , it’s no meta breaker but buffing enough cards to make him atleast 5/13 or more an the Zola to make two copies that both pop off again has been slapping lm

Cozy you bought me my first season back way back when Black Panther was new, and I’ve bought every pass since…But I think this is the first one I skip. I don’t like the variants or card backs, and now that gold feels less valuable and there’s so many cash grabby vibes I think it’s time for a break.

Most content creators gave this guy a 4 star, i said 2 from the start purely because zoo type decks which he should " shine " in already have their set turn 4 / 5 & 6 plays. This guy isnt good enough to carry that turn 5 or 6 if there are decks that can go 25 power across the board

I’d say maybe 75% of the cards in the game have an ability to increase card power. Meaning he could “work” in pretty much any deck

Played Snap for a bit while watching a movie last night and I don't remember seeing Gilgamesh at all. I was playing a destroy deck which I very seldom do and will say that my Killmonger was feasting most of the evening. Climbed into the 80's on the ladder before the movie was over lol.

bouncing back and forth between cannonball and Corvus Glaive, be fun to jump into discard because it has fallen out of the meta a bit. But man I hate when cannonball is played against me, but i am afraid they will nerf him soon.

You must get this card… Cozy will say 2 months from now that its one of the must haves.. I don’t know why he would say pass on this card when it’s relatively probably as good as most cards for 5 cost.. Ugggh and him and Alex will say just say oh we were wrong but at this point it’s not worth telling people not to get something when second dinner has clearly been over engineering their cards for player retention.. think of the last 8 months and tier the season pass cards.. in terms of playability, card ceiling and overall impact on a game, this card is a must have but only if you pay for it of course

Honestly? I tried the auto build with gilgamesh, and to be honest? Its pretty good. Could it use some tweaks? Yeah, but baseline, its got a lotta options, and even if you dont draw blue marvel, you're probably looking at at least a plus 6

I'm surprised that nobody uses Taskmaster with him! You can use Magic to make it turn 7! Turn 6 you play 1 drop and him and turn 7 you play a taskmaster. It can help to win!

idk man, im not understanding why everyone is saying he's a mid card. went +32 cubes with a home brew deck that relies on Blue Marvel and an Angela/Elsa package and he can reliably get to 18 power. and besides, he's just fun man.

Thena and Gilgamesh seem like 2 cards that will force you to play decks in a way that's limiting and awkward. Blue marvel + Gilga sound good, but because they are both a 5 cost, it makes things weird on turns 5-6.. And right now id expect everyone to have enchantress and/or shadow king in their decks for easy counters... One thing is nice for sure, is all these crap cards being released recently has allowed me to save up over 8 keys on both of my snap accounts and 6000+ tokens. So many cards you just don't need coming out.
