Paris, Proust, and me.
The bronze goat is by Picasso,
the building is a typical Haussmann.
I lived close to the Arc de Triomphe
for 5 years and then by the
Parc Monceau where a very young
Marcel Proust used to play.
I left for London - enthralled by
its sudden change. It represented
the swinging 60’s….even the USA
looked at it with surprise… also,
I was leaving an impossible love.
