I am a white female and I grew up in the projects and was one of the 2 white families in our neighborhood. I only say that to say for many years I was exposed to predominantly African American culture. I heard the “N” word mostly from an African American POV between the people I hung out with to the music I listen to so I’ve always thought of that word (myself) as a word similar to dude,my guy, homeboy, etc... I will never fit my mouth to lie and say I never heard that word with the hard R and the NASTY coni notations that come along with it because I have but I myself have used it and thought of it AS just a term used when speaking so I agreed with what Gilly was saying. However after reading your comment I can 100% feel and understand what your saying. It’s a word that’s used as a trick to curse brothers and sisters every time it’s spoken! Thanks for your comment! You’ve definitely given me an understanding!

And here is the shit that pisses me off.....in the communities that I grew up in Brooklyn, NY......when Boo Boo killed Raheem.....we marched, held fundraisers for grieving families, held town hall meetings to combat the problems, etc. The news just doesn't report on it......because they want to continue to ignorant adage "Black on Black Crime" when in actuality it's a coined racially weighted term....crime is fucking crime. Crime is committed against whom is in close proximity to you. But we don't have or use the term "white on white crime," "Asian on Asian," "Latino on Latino," etc. And as Nore said Boo Boo gets dealt with by either the law or the streets. I live in upstate NY now. An 11yr old boy was murdered last week and there was a March for him and just the other day there was a motorcycle run that raised thousands of dollars for the mourning family and got college tuitions paid in full for each of that child's siblings. But you have niggas like Gil spewing this ignorant rhetoric like he doesn't know what it is.

Just because the town hall meetings, marches, protests, etc..... isn't televised and reported by white media...... doesn't mean it doesn't happen because it definitely does. Prime example him boasting about being on the front lines and doing his toy drives every Christmas.....those are facts but it's not something picked up by major news outlets. And that's where people go wrong because you depend on white media to make you aware of something that's happening in YOUR community....IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. It's been happening for years....those meetings and things happen in the community centers, schools, and churches of the community. Fundraisers and everything take place. When we spew the "we don't care about black lives" rhetoric.... we're spewing the "black on black" crime rhetoric. Crime is crime and statistics say you assault, rob, kill, rape, molest, etc.....whom you are in close proximity to. So blacks against blacks, whites against whites, asians against asians, etc. But we're the only race they coined a racist term for and we ignorantly still use it as ammo against ourselves like idiots.
