Alan Hale God Bless him, embraced this character and ADORED the fans. You can see the HUGE smile on his face as they applauded him and cheered. He was so not Hollywood. He never or seemed to never let his ego dominate him nor did any bitterness. People like him are not found in Hollywood anymore. He was a rare and amazing man. We miss you Skipper. To get to see the Skipper whap Gilligan once more with the hat was awesome. Thank you so much for this video.

God bless the souls of those awesome, classy and super talented cast members who have gone to the great beyond. God bless the cast members who are still here in this world. Network television has not been the same since shows like: Gilligan's island, Bewitched, I dream of Genie, Brady Bunch, My three sons, Happy Days, The Partridge family, The Munsters, The Honeymooners, The Odd Couple and other television classics and their amazing actors/actresses are no longer in production. I am grateful to have been a young kid growing up in the 1980's watching these magnificent shows for free on network television when they were in syndication afterschool, on the weekends and late at night.

I agree. I was also surprised to see Tina Louise. I was under the impression that she walked away and never associated herself with the show again. I also never knew this reunion existed until now. The timing was perfect as three of the castaways died shortly ('89, '90, '91) after. This may be the best cast reunion ever. Most never have everyone present.

Yes he did, and I've heard other stories from a few different sources of Bob Denver standing up for people who he observed were being treated unfairly. One time in particular according to one of his "Dobie Gillis" costars his standing up for a person who was being treated unfairly caused him to get beat up by some people. But she said even in the midst of the beating Bob didn't back down. Remember Bob Denver was a teacher before he became a full time actor. He cared deeply about what was right.

I can't wait until the entire Gilligan's Island cast members find out just how devilishly wicked the South Park animation crew members are. They should know by now that they definitely made fun of Jesus Christ, my own Lord and personal savior. It's also understandable that even the Gilligan's Planet cartoon series doesn't function like the way the fictitious crime drama series called Law & Order SVU does. The Gilligan's Island characters never dealt with any of the AMW (America's Most Wanted) fugitives who were serial rapists. Ronald Evans, who's from Clifton, New Jersey, was definitely an AMW fugitive who's a serial rapist. 👍 👌 💛 😙 🥰 ☺️ 👍 🙏 🙌 ✨️ ❤️ 💖 💕 🙏

Dawn Wells and Tina Louise are still with us at this writing. Wells, though uncredited in the first season, was and remains the only actor from _Gilligan's Island_ to receive residuals from the show's five decades in reruns, due to a contract renegotiation. Like many in Hollywood's biggest TV and movie hits from those days, the other actors got paid only once, when the shows originally aired. Sadly, a couple in the cast died not too long after this show was recorded in 1988 (Jim Backus in July of 1989, and Alan Hale, Jr., only months later in January of 1990).

My memory, the second thing to go, recalls Gilligan’s Island on Friday night Television. It was on with Get Smart and Wild, Wild West. Years later, I went to college with Hope Schwartz, Sherwood’s daughter. I have some super 8 footage of her in my film. I was a Film Studies major at UCI.

Dawn Wells looks the same even til today, she was my favourite of the 2 but they were all great in their roles. Funny that the show almost didn't make it but now it's a classic & beyond. Sad that all are gone except for Marianne & Ginger. Poor Jim, an actor from way back well before Gilligan's Island. Most of these actors starred in great movies & shows before. They could never remake it , it would never be the same. I loved the episode where Gilligan found the radioactive vegetables & they all had side-effects, it was hilarious. Never make shows like this anymore.
