the show was an escape from reality, with the amazing idea, what would happen if a disparate group of people were thrown together on a desert island? The group discussions around the table come from amazingly different points of view, from likeable characters with comedy and believability. A superb ensemble acting in a setting outside their walks of life...

Good thing that the booby trapped attache case had a delayed reaction after it was opened and that it didn't explode until after it was thrown into the lagoon. It sure made Gilligan,the Skipper & The Professor scared out of their wits after they heard it blow up in the water.

Take a close look at the attache case. It's not a case that a courier would use to transport sensitive documents. The Handcuff is not built into the case. One loop of the Handcuff is just attached to the brief case's handle.

The castaways should've kept the handcuffs along with the key so that they would need it if a bad guy or bad girl were to come to their island to harm them while they're marooned.

If there had been head hunters in the lagoon approaching the castaways when the Skipper threw the attache case in the water after it was opened to reveal what was inside,and if it exploded right in front of the natives,they would get scared and swim back to the island like scared rabbits.

I worked with Gilligan after he got home at this Marina in Delray. He is a totally good loveable dude... The trouble started when he blew up the Saudi Princes yacht and it burned for days. I heard these really big dudes with really big swords and axes showed up at the marina looking for all of us. I was lucky it was my day off.

I thought they’d get pelted with fish when the attaché case blew up in the water.

As they are running when the briefcase explodes. 😂
