"What about you, Mr. Howell? Surely you're a member of this take-a-pigeon to lunch bunch!" Love that! LOL

I love the Professor. Sometimes he is the only adult on the island and I love the way he has to scold the others like misbehaved children. You see this in a lot of the episodes.

That is so true Penny. The others really needed the professor.

This was a cute episode. It's funny how Gilligan has no romantic feelings over two beautiful women on the island but can fall in love with a bird.

With this and the turtle, I am fully convinced that he is either a Furry or a Zoophile

@@LindaMerchant-bq2hp true Gilligan may be Naive and innocent...I think he is blind as a Bat... if I was stuck on a island with two beautifull women....I'd be more interested in them then a bird. it's most men's dream come true to be with two women.🤣🤣🤣🤣

This was a cute episode. The pigeon worked hard to rescue the castaways unlike all the other guests.

The other human guests left the castaways ' high and dry'

The ending is classic. After being well fed, exercised and taken care of, Walter flies away from the island leaving the happy castaways stranded as usual.

As a former racing pigeon fancier....the initial pigeon is probably a three week old baby. The "fat" silver pigeon is the way a pigeon should look! Cute episode...

The spider in the film was not only creepy but cheesy as hell. Probably would have made an excellent spider for a haunted house tour during the month of October

I like the outfit Ginger is wearing. It is actually very casual for her. A much more practical outfit for island living.

With all that good food surprised Walter would want to leave the island.

Like that line where skipper tells Gilligan he will get a cage for him to share with Walter the pigeon once they get back to Hawaii.

Funny how the Skipper is looking the wrong way when the pigeon flies away.
@patrickperalta593 ай бұрын
everyone else always blames gilligan for ruining chances to get off the island....yet the rest of the castaway are just as much to blame as well.........Skipper is the main one he is to impatient and does not like to wait...he wants to get off the island right that moment............Gilligan told Skipper the Professor had the pigeon on a diet to get healthy.......Skipper's Responce was basically "Who cares what the Professor wants" that shows how impatient he is.

I think the pigeon would be better off staying on the island with all that TLC.

If all but the Professor didn't overfeed the pigeon,he would've been been able to fly off the island with a note attached in 2 weeks instead of 3.

I think the Pigeon was flying to a guy in Jail that's why they never got rescued in this episode.
@Matthewsmollen46 жыл бұрын
The man in jail thought all the notes were fake notes from a women he knows called Old Lady Hawkins.

All but 1 of the castaways had to overfeed Walter,the pigeon,so that he'd have the strength to fly off the island with a note,but he had to be put on a diet before he could and that it had to take a little longer than when he was going to fly off originally.

More than any other TV series -- even more than "I Love Lucy" -- "Gilligan's Island' was television's version of vaudeville. Each episode was a separate skit that existed only to give the cast a chance to deliver funny lines and engage in slapstick. All realistic criticisms of the story lines (Where did the characters -- especially Ginger -- get these limitless wardrobes? With two experienced seamen, a brilliant professor, and an island full of wood, why couldn't they build a boat? How could the island be close enough to Hawaii for enough visitors to fill Madison Square Garden to come and go over the years, and yet too far away to be found?) were as beside the point as it would be to sit in realistic judgment on the zaniness on "The Carol Burnett Show". This wouldn't have been tolerable without first-rate performers -- which "Gilligan's Island" fortunately had.

Ginger liked seamen.
@tadimaggio3 жыл бұрын
@@jedijones Actually, you touched on what may be the most unbelievable aspect of the whole show. Three single men, two single women, and no sex for three years. (And let's not forget the Howells in their separate beds, which must have been part of a set of three pairs; the Ricardos and the Petries bought the other two.) During this same decade, a movie called "Move Over, Darling", starring Doris Day, James Garner, and Chuck Connors came out, in which Doris and Chuck (the latter with a physique that would have forced Apollo to get out of the Greek-god business) were also stranded on a desert island for five years, with not even a case of advanced handholding to show for it. Seventeenth-century Puritans saw more action (unofficially) than middle-class Americans in the 1960s did (officially).

I would love to see the Skipper lock Gilligan in a cage with that pigeon and throw away the key.
