If you're an American who was a teenager when 9/11 this song rings true. The US has been at war my entire adult life. This song was about Vietnam, and here we are decades later with a whole generation of American kids who haven't known anything except war.

Wow! One of my favorite Stones songs, and Matt Lee's videos of Gimme Shelter just kept getting better and better during their current tour. This may be the best yet. Great coverage of Keith and Ronnie's guitar work, and Mick and Sasha are amazing!!

There status in rock is truly legendary! They came here the same year as the Beatles! 1964!! And while the Beatles broke in 19 70. The Sones went on to fill areana’s! In 2022 stil here kicking ass remarkable!!

Yes ultimately exciting to see the stones however this intro to this song, the timing is off and it's sloppy. Sorry to say, but as the late great James Brown would say, give me the 1!

I have nothing bad to say about drummer Mr. Hawkins of FOO FIGHTERS fame, non at all . But something just doesn't sit right with me concerning Charlie Watts death . Yes , of course we know he hit that big number 80 and the man upstairs called on him . And yes , I realize that Mr. Hawkins was only 50 years old, WAY too young to be whisked away from his family , career and everyone else who adored him , R.I.P. our freind, always and forever . But this lack of celebration since Charlie's demise has puzzled me . Charlie Watts was the back beat for the greatest rock and roll band in the world !! That's undeniable, that argument was settled decades ago . The thing is , at least with me and others , is why can't the rest of us have a celebration of this man's life as well . Mr. Hawkins didn't have an arm or body when Charlie Watts began keeping a backseat for Jagger , Keith, Brian and Bill . They carried on relentlessly thru time and treated it like it was nothing, the Stones never stopped rocking and they are STILL ROCK'N. ( take that McCartney you foolish man ). I for one , and there are many, many more of us that believe that our favorite drummer, the drummer for THE GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND IN THE WORLD 🌎 should be given at least the same royalties that others that weren't even brought into this world at the time he earned his outstanding honors. Charlie Watts was kicking out hits with the Stones before the Foo Fighters were even in kindergarten ! !
