Gimp Tutorial : Text Masking Effect

Hello Everyone!
This tutorial will show you how to create a text masking effect using gimp-selecting focus object to become no background and with the background one to create the pop-out effect.

Mehnn... My Text layer ain't displaying the "Alpha Selection" when I apply it to it. 4:29 Don't know what I did wrong and have redone it twice, still not displaying alpha selections when applied to the text. Could it be when I was cutting the image? EDIT: Worked it out. 3:17 was what I missed. Thanks, Zakey.

after you grow the font what did you do to the picture layer? did you say deselect it?

Great tutorial, but you go too fast sometimes. Also selection path tool when i do CTRL +C , CTRL +V and add new layer, my GIMP does not behave like yours.

You say instagram poster size, but you don't say the size.

@@ZakeyDesign Thanks. Also, with the font, pressing enter for each letter doesn't work. It just overlaps them one on top of the other. Is there another way to do it? GIMP has been updated to 2.10.38
