Sobrang idol ko yan si Ms. Gina Alajar. Siya yung tipong tao na kahit di naman nakasama o nakilala ng personal ay makikita sa kanya na mabuti siyang tao, mapagmahal sa mga kaibigan lalo na sa mga anak maging sa asawa niya noon dangga’t nga lang di pinalad na maging forever sila.☹️😔 Saka never siyang naging mayabang kahit sobrang galing niyang artista at direktor. Napakabait ni Ms Gina, I remember may shooting sila sa lugar nmin, I was freshman then, mga tanghali may kumakatok sa bahay nmin, pagbukas ko ng pinto, wow si Ms. Gina Alajar, binigyan nya ako ng cake kasi daw birthday nya daw nung araw na yun. Very down to earth tlaga😊

Oh yes... ganda ng flow ng interview nya... Di tau na di distract sa nakaka iritang host na palaging nag bu- butt in tungkol sa sarili nila.... Minsan sabi ko nga, "sino ba ine interview nito, yung guest or sarili nya?" Eh puro, "Ako blah blah blah... or "kasi ako, blah blah...." Sabi ko, "EH DI SANA SARILI MO NA LANG ININTERVIEW MO!!! Grrrr!!!!" 😂😂😂

Ang ganda naman ng advice ni Gina sa mga nahuhumaling mag artista. Tama siya, iilan lamang ang nagtatagumpay o tumatagal sa industriyang iyan kaya dapat pagbutihin pa din ang pag aaral para sakali't mapabilang sa hindi masyadong papalarin ay may isa pang pintuan na mapapasukan. Very well said.

I like how Aster does not interrupt her guests during the interviews..she lets them tell it all, which gives us a lot of info beyond just answering the questions. At the same time, she steers the discussion, and is respectful in her way of asking questions.

Ms Gina Alajar, came to FEU Mass Com dept to promote SALOME in the 80’s. I was a senior student at that time. My batch was very maarte & snobbish at that time but Gina was the real deal talent that we were all enamoured by her no-nonsense approach and phenomenal performance in Salome that we all fell in love with her. I’m still a huge fan. And who can forget her in Kaya Kong Abutin ang Langit? It’s Maricel’s movie and if not for Gina’s genuine talent, she could have “disappeared” from the enormity of Maricel’s lead role domination but Gina held her own. More power Miss Gina Alajar! ❤️🇦🇺

Awww Ms Gina Alajar was the same age as my mom (17 yrs old when she got married. Thou, arranged marriage in my mom’s case and my eldest brother was also born in July). This was real coincidence, my mom’s bday in June too. The only difference was my mom missed so much in life as she didn’t experience being a teenager and was forced into marriage out of her will, so the marriage fell apart when I was born and ended up in broken family!😢

I saw a movie where Gina did comedic scenes, (I forgot the title), showing how versatile she is as an actress. I remember the late Bella Flores narrating to me the story where the director of the movie Ang Kaibigam Kong Sto. Nino told her to be real mean to the child actors. The child actors literally got sick whenever they we're doing a scene with Bella!

Thats why I prefer to watch actors and movies of old. Dati pag sinabing artista marunong talaga umarte. Ang sikat nila as an artist based sa isang actual na skill not just popularity and their work stands the test of time. They brought meaning and respect to the profession. Di gaya ng mga artista ngayon.
