Hij werd wereldberoemd als de kippenboer met zijn bijzondere lach. Dat laatste klopt. Het eerste niet. Ginius uit Alteveer heeft een hele normale baan bij het Waterbedrijf Groningen. Rob Mulder en Ginius werden door het lot aan elkaar verbonden. Ze troffen elkaar bij de kleindierenshow in Zuidbroek en alles daarna is geschiedenis.
Het filmpje dat in Expeditie Grunnen van RTV Noord verscheen werd door Dumpert opgepikt, (www.dumpert.nl...) en ging de hele wereld over. De schatting is dat het filmpje door zo'n 60 miljoen mensen is bekeken, wereldwijd. En ze kennen nu allemaal Ginius de Wijk. Ook Jochem Myjer bijvoorbeeld, die de lach van Ginius als wekker installeerde en elke ochtend met hem wakker werd.
Je zou bijna vergeten dat er ook nog een man met een leven achter die lach schuilt. Toch is het zo. Een bijzonder vriendelijke kerel, recht door zee en erg grappig. Want ook al wilde hij het niet, Rob gaat weer totaal plat als Ginius begint te vertellen.

They talk about how the original video went viral. And that the moment was spontaneous. And that he was asked on talkshows and radioshows just to make fun of him, and that he declined saying 'I am not your clown', and I won't show up without the interviewer. It was teamwork. The interviewer finally asks him about his well known joke telling skills. That is the moment he tells about being on a double decker bus telling jokes on the upper deck and the chauffeur asking him to stop because he is unable to drive the bus any further. They both crack up.

I used the translator and they are talking about the first time they met and how it wasn't planeed, to how a radio station mocked him and he hung up, to his prestigious job in the water company. When they are laughing, he is telling the story of a double decker bus ride in Lon=don and how the top floor felt left out of all the laughter going on downstairs.

My favourite bit is when the guy on the left stops laughing and tries to calm down at 10:48 ... only to be caught off guard at 10:51 by the guy on the right's huge squawking noise

I FINALLY watched this video with English translation. Finally, meaning I'M the clown, not Uncle. Their conversation talks about the unintentional bromance that the world embraced, as well. These are two serious men who just had a Shawshank moment and are Step Brothers forever.

Rob said to chicken that he’s a jokester as well and asked him if it’s true about the joke ban that he got. and than chicken said: ‘yes, one time I was in a bus and than the bus driver asked me if I could stop making jokes because he couldn’t drive the bus properly with all those jokes. I was also in a biplane and than a man from the second floor asked me if he could rent me because he’s not hearing all the jokes because he’s on the second floor.’ I hope that I’ve translated everything properly so now you understand haha

Geweldig weer. Hier moet een soap van gemaakt worden. En jammer dat Rob Mulder, niet meer bij rtv noord is. Was ook belachelijk hoe het is gegaan. Sloeg nergens op en respect naar Rob toe, dat hij zelf heeft gekozen om weg te gaan. Wat een gezeik. En ja, je moet echt lachen, dat maakt je gezond. Rob jij doet het goed en jullie zijn samen een geweldige duo! Ginius, wat een prachtkerel ben jij ook. Succes jullie samen! Hahaha.

Ik had die man al eens eerder gezien met Rob in de Expeditie Grun, Die Man heeft gewoon een aanstekelijke lach, je komt niet meer bij van het lachen als hij begint.. Geweldig !!!!!!

Both are great. And really nice that the moderator Rob met Ginius again. Also interesting to listen to the chat between them.
