In 1969 we were ambushed in the jungle of Phu Loi (Vietnam) & I was wounded, I owe a great thanks to the medics who carried me out of the jungle after I got wounded, & thanks to the dust off crew that flew me to receive medical attention, & much love to the nurses who patched me up. Special thanks to 1LT Shannon (nurse) who held my hand during the bad times. You are truly angels. Hoo-Ah!

I’m inspired and very grateful to your Service in Vietnam . I’m a Vietnamese American, my family fled from việt communists invasion in South Vietnam . My father, uncles , and multiple members of our families were imprisoned in concentration camps, suffered malnutrition , suffered Vietcong cruel humiliation… uncle died in the camp ( committed suicide or. Killed by vc ???) . Relatives lost their lives in the sea escape . My wife and myself were born late 1950s , we had a good education from South Vietnam until 4/ 1975 , we had a life pretty safe during our teenage years because of the presence of US military involvement and South VietnamArmy whom we all are forever indebted to . Please accept our Heartfelt Appreciation, Thankfulness, Respect to you all . Y’all are our Heroes. 🙏❤️🙏💜💐😘

Good presentation. Just happened to run accross it. Been there, 1970-71, Chu Lai, MSC "dustoff" pilot. Very high crew casualties, we were unarmed (Geneva convention) flew in horrendous weather to get to wounded GIs. Always took alot of enemy fire and damage... positive part was that the hueys would get all shot up, but we always got brand new ships! We had great faith in the hospitals, doctors, nurses, and everyone who had a part of making it (the hospital) work. They were fantastic. Wife also army nurse, Captain, 5 years in surgery and training surgery tecs. Researched US govt stats when I got stateside. Dustoff crews had a 1-in-5 chance of surviving a year. Fits my experience. *History bit... we've all heard of "Hueys". (Bell UH-1 Iroquois) Know how it came about ? It was originally a project to design a Medical Evacuation helicopter. "Army request to meet a 1952 contract for a medical evacuation helicopter..." Huey was born for medical purpose. Original was also designed to hold (suspend) stretchers. First flown in 1956. It was obvious that it was really special and could have numerous possibilities. Approx 16,000 were built. Https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell UH-1 Iroquois

I am in no way trying to be disrespectful to either the Miss America recipient, OR Ginny. I respect both ladies to the "utmost degree", for their service and for their help in the upkeep of moral, when there was hardly an ounce to be had to even keep. While I respect and appreciate Miss America (her name escapes me), that soldier that lost both arms and expressed how Ginny was just as (if not more) valuable than The pageant winner's services. I am very much inclined to agree wholeheartedly. Ginny very well could have been a recipient of the MA award 10 times in the running had she entered such a contest. Her beauty is only surpassed by her courage and intellect......which is something anyone should look for upon trying to find a life partner. My God ....Ginny is stunning! I hope she and hers are well. She most definitely deserves all our nation's praise and recognition. I would hope to meet this beautiful woman someday in my travels. Cheers everyone. Hope all is well with everyone reading this

Ginny, you went through hell. But your parents must have looked at you and thought you are the most beautiful person the world. And I saw your photo and you were. But, you were there, I am so sorry tthat you were allowed to be a kid and just be normal. I work so hard to make sure my girls never ever have to go through what you did.

This was our first Zoom meeting at the beginning of Covid. We were plowing new technological ground, and were very pleased that the process worked as well as it did! I'm pretty sure that we did not delete anything intentionally - it may be that the Zoom video recording was stopped before it should have been. I/we appreciate your positive feedback, and apologize for any disappointment!
