Jason Williams is a retired American basketball player who was a point guard in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for twelve seasons during the late 1990s and 2000s. A native of West Virginia, Williams played college basketball for Marshall University and the University of Florida. The Sacramento Kings selected him in the first round of the 1998 NBA Draft. Williams also played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, and Orlando Magic throughout his career. Due to his flashy style of play and popularity of the And1 Mixtape Tour during his playing years, Williams was given the nickname "White Chocolate".
He started all of Miami's playoff games in 2006 when they won the NBA championship. The Heat named Williams one of their top 25 players of all time in 2007

percussion jamz I agree with you guys to a certain extent. There are so many better guards with better awareness. You must've forgotten about Magic Johnson, Isaiah Thomas and all those greats. Pete Maravich and Stockton were better than JW by far. Plus they have better handles, Magic never showcased it much and neither did Stockton. They were pass first guards

One of the best NBA-passers of all time...pure joy to watch for guys like me who - in terms of highlight reels - dig flashy passing much more than slam dunks. In the NBA almost everyone can dunk, for most of em are tall anyway. Come a guy like Spud Webb, all of a sudden dunking becomes special, extraordinary. But with passing...there are only a handful of players that could/can pass like White Chocolate.

Loooking back at it, Williams was a better player. You should have held on to him and let him mature. He was outstanding in Memphis for a bad franchise, and later got his ring as instrumental piece from Miami late in his career. Was great in thr finals that year.

I hit our center right in the face with a pass in high school too. Probably the best damn pass in an organized game in my life. I chased an offensive rebound to the foul line and saw his defender follow me out of my peripheral. So I just touch passed it back over my head to him wide open right under the freaking basket, and it hits him in the chin and we didn't score. It still pisses me off. 🤢
