they probably did; its not uncommon for a studio to pass an artist/band some story arc/cue for lyric-writing in the single. LiSA does that alot for example

It not only talks about the arc but says a lot about Gin, the moon that broke in solitude, he losing Shoyo and his friends, we have decent happines, he had a life and a job, but was still looking for someone to bond with, the bloomomg in the dark, he finding kagura an shinpachi, forming the yorozuya depite the complicated period, and a lot more comparisons

I understand japanese and in one of their interviews it was said that Spyair and Does are a huge fan of gintama so I wouldn't be surprised if they wrote it specifically for the show.

Finished Gintama within a month (including OVAs and movies). Believe or not, the day after I finished all I rewatched them from the beginning 😂. Just finished it (again) today. Man, it's damn good

Gintama might be a funny anime and people get bored of it sometimes but the wisdom of life the anime passes to audience is much better than any of the anime. This anime has a slice of life in it.

Raffaele Santoro No lie, this anime is absolute epicness. It hits all the emotional notes with amazing precision. This and One Piece are life for me, when it comes to anime. Boku no Hero is creeping up there too, along some old classics. And this song! My God! I can’t! It’s too good! Am I the only one who lives for the end of the song? The conclusion is just masterful

I love everything about this arc.. shinsengumi and mimawaguri join hands to help gin just shows how strong his bond with people around him that they didn't hesitate to help him.. and the story of those two couples are heartbreaking but beautiful ending.. this arc was very good as they also showed us a glimpse of gin's past and revealed his other name "white demon" to others and even makes hijikata realized that gin is not your ordinary lazy bum.. just a bit sad that zura is not in this arc.. still in standby mode.. this song is cherry on top!! everytime i listen to sakura mitsutsuki my heart just feel sorrow and even makes my eyes watered

So pure and beautiful Gintama as a whole is . This arc changed my thinking about life and people jobs completely . Even though we all have negative feelings towrads the words Courtesan only ,in this arc , it showed us so many beautiful meanings about thier life and yoshiwara also . I mean i have to admit that Gintama is the best beautiful,comedy as well as inspiring story ever made . Thats the reason also Gintama is my no1 show and one of our true family of all time .
