I order a similar model by VEVOR and just returned it because it was also smoking and fumes started to irritate my eyes- so I’m surprised to hear this other brand also smoked at the beginning 🧐

Really?! That must be a common thing for them.. We have a Vevor Heat press and its been working pretty well for us. But it stopped randomly working on us. Had to take the back panel off and do some research and found one of the wires from the switch to turn on and off was loose and not very well put together.. Def get what you pay for but was able to get it back up and running. Hat press has been working good ever since though!

Could you guys let us know what the Tape was you were using to hold down the Designs to the hat before the press?

It is hest transfer tape. You can get it on Amzon or at Joann's or a local craft store.

I bought the Vevor version. Exactly the same only orange. $129.99 from Vevor direct.

@@RIDGCustoms Not well. Even after belt sanding the sharp corners off the platens, I still experience pinch marks. Vevor support said the hats must be too big however hats are Cricut and a few other cheap foam front hats designed for sublimation. They would not allow returning however they have refunded half the price.

Just got one of these Heat Press and smoke at the bigining, i got scared and turned it off, is it normal? Or I should take it to check

Hey sorry for the late reply! We think it's normal.. it's just the initial start. It hasn't done that since we first got it. But it definitely is worrisome when it happened. Did you end up keeping it or have it go away?

Still working great for us! If we ever get a new one, I think I'll prefer a manual press but no complaints so after continous use!

So I unwrapped my machine today, plugged it in and it caught fire! The house RCD switch tripped and left me in the dark, coughing from the fumes and a red glow from the machine which was on fire. Please dont buy this machine. It is clearly a terrible and dangerous product and I wish I had seen these comments before purchasing this!

Wow! That is wild. Sorry to hear that happened to yours! Ours has been working just fine since we've had it but the smoking in the beginning was a concern... After the last few purchases, we've made on amazon for heat press and that hat one we are going to go with a higher end brand next. They get the job done but definitely get what you pay for. Glad that you are okay though.

@RIDGCustoms Bro this fool is on another video of the Vevor auto hat press saying the same damn thing. So both brands cauggt on fire for him the very first time he attempted to use it.. People are such attention seakers.. Just lame!!
