I have 2 moms, biological mom, and my aunt who raised me. My mom/aunt divorced my dad/uncle; he was cheating her all the time. He cut off communication with her form us when she left him; we thought she abandoned us, but found she was taking him to court the entire time. We live in CA but our case as far custody is in Louisiana so CA could not intervene; they had to keep taking trips to the courts Louisiana and the courts wouldn’t budge. Also because we technically had no blood ties to our aunt/ mom but we did have blood ties to our uncle/dad. She tried for custody anyways , ( our biological mom had to be there too at every court so she knew who had her kids and how to contact them because those were the terms of the guardianship), but they only gave her visitation. My biological mother did speak up and said she’d rather us be with our mom. She said she didn’t trust our uncle/dad and said there so thing sick about him and felt he would molest and abuse us, but she had no proof, just her instincts. It would be years later when one of my sibling spoke up to a counselor but quickly receded, CPS came and questioned us, but they warned him ahead time and he had threatened and intimidated us ( he was pastor and champion officer, and most people in the community knew him, he had met presidents if the USA and they’ve asked him for advice, etc) and we were too scared to say anything so they dropped it. My mom even asked us but we were too scared. We were kids, some barely becoming teenagers. It was til we started getting older that we finally had enough courage to say something. Sister called mom and told her, and I called biological mother and told her; My biological mom told me tell mom immediately and she would try to contact her to do the same in case my site couldn’t reach her ( biological mom lived in Louisiana not CA). She called him told him she was coming to get us. She sure did. He stared telling her we were lying and she stood up to that 6ft y’all man, looked him right in the eyes told him she was taking her kids and had nothing to say him. She made sure we all loaded up and was the last one to walk out. She called CPS for advice and help with the situation especially with custody being in Louisiana; and next day went to file the police report. CA courts had to intervene then because of the situation now involved a case within CA were kids were being abused, and she was finally given full custody. Both my moms knew something was wrong, but knew for whatever reason we couldn’t tell them, they both made sure they did everything they could to keep in contact with us. The crazy thing is my moms did not get along, but came together to be there for us. They kept listening to their instincts that told them we were in danger and been right, even though they couldn’t explain it to court cuz they had no proof, they both spoke up anyway. I’m happy they both get along now and speak to each other about what’s going on in our lives even though we’re adults now. They’ve learned to respect each other and my biological mom even thanked my mom for using what little money she had to keep fighting for custody and believing her when she expressed she felt he was hurting us. I do believe women in some way know when something is wrong with their significant other kids. What I don’t understand is why they chose to ignore it. My moms listening is to that instinct saved their kids lives in the long run. I aspire to do what they did and always listen to, and trust in my instincts even if I can’t see it or have no proof.

I don’t understand why everyone talks about it being a mental illness. Either way it’s a conscious decision. They know right from wrong. They know what they are doing when they are doing it. It’s not an illness it’s just being a down right nasty. I can speak on it because it’s happened in my family.
@niellalien4 жыл бұрын
It's fucked up and nasty, but I see that people being attracted to teenagers is more of a sexual preference, not a sickness. I don't see it being something that can be completely solved with therapy.
@baekhyunschopsticks67634 жыл бұрын
I believe there's been studies done for the sake of legality. Pedophilia by itself is considered a mental illness and not illegal (for example if someone were to see a therapist and *only talk* of these desires they would not be charged), however the moment any action is taken to appease those deviant desires (molestation, being in possession of child p*rn, having any sort of conspiracy to have inappropriate conduct towards a child etc.) _then_ it is seen as a choice and a felony. Unfortunately there are few people out there who seek help for this illness and instead resort to hurting children. Even in seeking help there's a very limited amount of treatments available for it, due to it's controversial nature. Like Jeannie said, the only way to combat this is to do more research and try to find a way to treat it.

When I was between 7-9 my mom found a drawing of a scene and I made em excuse (kids are known for drawing out their abuse) When I was between 11-12 my mom asked me if my dad ever touched me. I said no and she never said anything again. My aunt also hinted that I could trust her to tell her if other abuse was happening to me or my siblings while my mom was gone. Today my dad is in jail 25-Life for the thing he did. I still love my mom but I can’t help but feel like she knew. He was abusive to her to and I’m very empathetic so I understand why she felt trapped and controlled. Soon as I told her tho she believed me and went to the police and divorced him. Sometimes I feel like she treats me differently from my siblings. Like subconsciously

NO woman needs to “dethrone” another. They can coexist and both be extremely successful in their industry. What a shameful question.

How in the hell is a wife suppose to know what her husband is doing 24 hours a day. It is possible to live with a man and not know every move he makes in the course of a day. That is a stupid statement Loni.

Ann Exactly!! Especially if your spouse is a NARCISSIST. They have crafted their mask very well. I was SO upset when ALL those women said that a woman always knows when their husband/BF is a pedophile or if they are molesters. They have NO right to speak on this if they haven’t experienced it. I have. And I had no idea. It was the worst experience of our family’s life, and he is in jail.

He had been accused before with evidence and she stuck by his side. That’s what loni was saying, she was over her when she decided to stay with him even after the 2nd accusation. It wasn’t until he was sentenced that she filed for divorce. And what made matters worst is that she decided to stay and leaving her son with him alone. I mean the man had an underwear and was in bed with her child! That could have been prevented if she left him.

Cardi doesn’t deserves to dethrone Taylor because Taylor has been doing it for years and and SHE ACTUALLY WRITES HER OWN LYRICS and does it for the love of music not for the money

I love Cardi B and how authentic she is but you CAN NOT even compare her to Lauryn Hill musically. That is rediculous.
@rhi.1234 жыл бұрын
@Melissa Fancy face Cardi B has been compared to Lauryn Hill BECAUSE she was the last female to reach that status. Not everyone has to like the hype lol you dont gotta be mad about it 😂😂

All the ladies had very strong points, informed and honest things to say, but how do you teach your child to stay safe and not scare them so that they will spread their wings because they don't like when you keep them under your wing they feel like you're stifling them and then they grow up and they got to walk on their own this is scary and I wish the world was a better place so that we can all just kind of make sure that each other is okay like they used to do. Communities stuck together more back in the days. We don't even know our neighbors sometimes and my neighbors will say one thing then draw their own conclusions and run with it.
