I almost feel like my best days were in middle school. I was special. I got amazing grades, had a lot of "friends" and was even considered pretty athletic even though I didn't do any school sports (I did figure skating outside of school so that was what contributed to my above-average athleticism). In high school I stopped figure skating competitively in the beginning of my sophomore year and never picked up another sport (because prior to that, I thought figure skating would be my life forever; I'd even try to get my parents to put me in a homeschool program so I could spend more time training). In high school my grades weren't straight anymore. In high school I was not special anymore. But you know who made me feel special? My friends and my family. Those people in your life matter more than any grade, achievement, or thing in the world. They are what make me special.

I really didn't care about grades. Because I graduated with an C+ average and that was really great.
