Freedom of Acrylics with artist Jane Slivka

Follow along with Jane as she paints the human form viewed in sunlight and shadows. She demonstrates how she creates skin tones and what paint colors she uses to create them. Then Jane demos how to layers theses colors from dark to light to create the effect. Jane's has a loose and freeing style that is entertaining and inspiring to watch.She also offers classes that are available at her website for only $25 per class. The class is emailed to you to keep and view at your own pace. You can stop, rewind and rewatch. Also at her website, JaneSlivkaGallery.com, is a list of Jane's favorite paint colors and brushes, etc. So enjoy watching this latest tutorial, and as Jane always says about painting, "Have fun, relax and enjoy the process."

Jane , I’ve been following your videos for quite some time and enjoy it . Your art reminds me of one of my favorite artists , an Italian painter , Nicola Simbari 1927 - 2011. His painting ( Sylvie ) with the white dress comes to my mind. from Florida 🌴

Jane! I'm glad your son is doing well, really glad❤ I was wondering. You always start your painting with hoover green then you switch to white ... Could you explain why? What does the white do or represent please ? Thank you. I want to paint like you I just need to understand the process ❤ Warm regards Franci

I use the dark hookers green and then the white to pull out my darks and lights right away. Value is the most important part of laying out the painting.
