And even though it is a well known dish, a higher percentage of Nigerians haven't tried or even seen Amala/gbegiri/ewedu... As it is largely a regional delicacy of the southwest Nigeria, which happens to be dominantly Yoruba-. There are only a few generic Nigerian dishes(if any at all) that cut across all six geo-political zones of the country. Apart from the rice and yam dishes, I'd probably say maybe suya/kilishi, egusi and pepper soup would count as general Naija food.
