So, how do you test how your subwoofers handle all the power you give them? Do you listen to your system with earplugs on at your garage and check if the coils get hot or the sound gets distorted? I'm slamming with a single 15" sub thats rated to 1000w rms and I've measured a maximum of 400watts rms near my box's tuning with a clamp/multimeter. I remember smelling a coil before when I had a 400w rms rated pioneer sub hooked to my amp @2ohms and my amp should give out about 550 on 2ohms but it might be the 2inch coil being closer to 300w rms capable in real life :)
