It's sort of obligatory. I was born in Russia and believe me many of stuff in Chinese culture is very similar. Class reunion is a must and it's weird to miss it. Plus the purpose is to flex how you grew (especially financially) after high school, so you marriage, kids, business etc. is discussed under pretense of missing your "school friends"

From beginning to end, ML loves only FL. This drama is a journey of FL walking out of the past, learning she deserves to be loved, finding herself, finding love, and finding the truth. A really nice one with a good ML.

They all seem to have a similar plot. Lead falls in or out of love, women are ruthless and cunning, bunch of slaps, boot lickers, narcissist antagonist who is jealous, petty and unhinged. All revolving around hidden/mistaken identity, misunderstandings and lack of communication.

They always put FL in an ultra rich snobbish setting that we don't actually encounter in real life. But she herself has real struggles and even manages the snobs to accept her. Plus it's considered "nice" to have powerful husband to solve all of your problems and male status is more important than female's unfortunately. Plus it shows how ignorant the snobs actually are

I guess that's the point... Without bullying the dramas would be different. You can find more "meaningful" short dramas shot in 16×4 on Tencent for example, with good plot and movie-production quality. But here we are for bullying, revenge and silly sh*t. Edit: Tencent is the biggest video game producer in China and is a huge company Alibaba size, so it's not Hollywood level, but very, very high. Many of big super popular dramas were made by then. They have a separate channel for short dramas aka 3 hour movies

It irritates me when all these bystanders in these dramas instantly believe one's telling the truth over the other!! And they always choose wrong! I also don't understand why they get an opinion at all!! When it's none of their business in the first place!! If that were me!? I wouldn't be hanging around that situation. You'd find me over at the food table stuffing my face! Which would've been the only reason I even showed up to this function at all!! To eat 'rich people' food a peasant like me would otherwise never be able to afford. And then it's straight back home to continue to rot in bed!😂😂😂

(spoiler} ..was legit but hated the real underline of the story, like why did the evil mom even bother stealing someone elses kid to swap hers with, still making her work hard to pay a fake med bills and lying for a long time and you hate her for just being alive , and i know this is just one of those basic plots but be better lol, i liked the ml, he was very sweet has that cute nerdy look, fl was a good actor

1:45:45 I’m so lost on how she could possibly have misread this situation 😂😂😂 the guy has shown absolutely no interest in her, he fired her in front of so many people, practically banned her from his life..he didn’t even inform her of the proposal that she thinks is meant for her, how on earth did she come up with this conclusion…I’ve seen a lot of delusional characters in these mini dramas but only this one have managed to leave me in a state of disbelief😂😂

One thing always confuses me in short drama that they don’t change the dresses in a day or a week or month as per d story. It’s like d FL wearing a dress today she sleeps wearing that n again next day goes to office in d same dress. It gets really confusing sometimes. Like i remember the 2nd FL wearing d same black dress during murder scene then same dress i hospital then again same dress for conference

I always enjoy the ML in roles I've seen him in. I wonder why the staff always give blind support to people they think are in charge. Do your work, mind your business. All the actors were great. It was enjoyable to me.
