I remember many many times that I tried to challenge myself by putting max size max bombs in the game if by some stroke of luck I didn't hit a mine in the first click I would do so in the second, because the revealed numbers were usually 8 or 7, not fun

I both understand and don't understand at the same time.

There are times though where you have no options outside the few, those times where there isn't a clearcut mine and you have to risk everything on a 50/50, those are the most tense feelings you will ever experience.

I didn't understand Minesweeper until I learned it several months ago. I'm proud that I managed to understand how to play it without searching for guides. Just pure logic and trial-and-error.

FINALLY! I’ve been living many years not knowing how tf this game works, but today I completed my first minesweeper because of this video

I kinda always found minesweeper interesting. Because this algorithm is not sufficient to solve all boards so you have to add a little more logic. Was thinking of programming my own version of minesweeper myself that automatically does these steps when you select a new tile, that way I could get to the more interesting logic puzzle. Like accounting for the number of bombs left to determine if a tile is safe. Or using multiple tiles to determine whether or not a spot is safe.

I like to see that someone else actually knows how to play this. Of course, if it had instructions, that would be better but where's the fun in that?
