@@Gamer_ever85 If I had to classify myself in DBZ terms, I'm not a Gohan or a Vegeta. I can be kind, calm, gentle and selfless, but at the same time, I have my moments where I can fly off the handle. I was more easy to anger in my teens and twenties, but as I've gotten older, I've gotten closer to Gohan's temperament. I still have my moments, of course, but not like when I was younger.

I agree with Ox King on this, i understand ChiChi wants what's best for her son, all the studies in the world is useless when the whole world is destroyed and she needs to recognize that her son is not just a human but a half sayain (inherited by Goku). Also she needs to remember that she too was a martial artist herself and fought against Goku back in the day and should know that the family she has is not normal (neither is she). Ahe can't hide from her past.

In the Manga the Cell Jr's don't even die. They regenerated, and Android 17 took them in and "tamed" them and now they live on Monster Island with 17 and help protect the animals in the sanctuary. in the DBS manga they show Trunks & Goten fighting the Cell Jr's on the island while 17 is gone at the tournament of power.

@@jordywoody14 Or animators forgot simply what other animators put in. In later saga (no spoilers) there are many parts that animators change in different episodes and part of the episodes and they make mistakes in charachters. Also animation style changhes too. I believe it's that reason.

It makes more sense to assume one of the ones he “killed” actually regenerated using piccolo dna, considering that none of the cell jr were actually killed here as they are all still alive in canon.

But as I already stated there were many animation differences between episodes and scenes because there were multiple animators working and they didn't communicate always well with each other so it could be an error. Was there an extra Cell jnr in manga thou? Cause if there is then its no mistake.

This is one of my favorite transformations in the series. Gohan is a character with a lot of potential, but he doesn’t like fighting, at least not to the extent that his father and Vegeta did, but his anger was always there, and it finally found a way out. As with most first-time transformations in the series, he is much more swayed by his emotions, and he is far more ruthless than we’ve seen him be anywhere else at this point in the series

they prolly jus taking in the moment. At this point of the arc, the impact of the new form matters more than the name of it. The character(s) didn't hav an official title until the following arc. Bfore that, it was seen as the pinnacle of ssj power.

Goku lowkey would've saved a whole lot of pain and time had he just told Gohan "Remember how you turned into a super saiyan. Use the pain of loss" especially since gohan already knew he was stronger than cell anyway

I'm pretty sure if Goku thought if that was a possibility, he would've done it. Think about it, Gohan had a much "easier" time turning Super Saiyan than Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks. If thinking about loss is what it took for him to go Super Saiyan, then with Gohan's hidden power and experiencing real loss like the other three; then Gohan can achieve a stronger form.

Cell crossed a line, and there's no turning back. The gentle Gohan is gone even in the middle of his transformation he was still trying to reason with Cell. He became a completely different person, and now Gohan will have no remorse. And I know Trunks is so proud of Gohan, the master that protected him in the future. Now he's seeing Gohan surpass everyone. Perfect Cell is my favorite Villian, and the announcer reminds me of JR from WWE /WWF if you guys watch wrestling before.

this transformation is not officially named until a certain point in the next major Arc by Goku, they called it an ascended Super Saiyan until Goku just calls it a Super Saiyan 2.

Fun Fact: In the Manga, the Cell Jr's didn't die, they regenerated and Android 17 took them in and tamed them and trained by fighting with them. They live on 17's animal sanctuary island in Dragon Ball Super, and it kind of explains how 17 got to be so strong in DBS.

It wasn't until years later, actually just within the last few years that I realized Gohan basically had a double powerup, according to sources online SSJ2 is only twice as strong as SSJ1, though everything about powerlevels is a hotly contested issues. But there's also the huge powerup Gohan gets when he gets really mad. So he got the huge rage boost possibly already being stronger than cell at that point, then went SSJ2 on top of that, basically doubling his power again * Spoilers * , which leads to him utterly handing cell his ass. Though it does have drawbacks due to perhaps clouding his judgement, wanting to punish cell instead of ending the threat, which backfires.
