summer strawberry lemonade: www.calicoandt...
sauerkraut: we use the Ball Canning recipe that can be found in their cookbook (we do not can it after fermenting) but here is a tutorial for kraut • How to Make Sauerkraut
loaded nachos:
organic corn chips warmed in the oven
veggie cheese sauce (www.calicoandt...)
tomatoes, jalapeños, corn, lettuce, or any other topping you’d like
pickled red onions (www.calicoandt...)
choice of protein- black beans, refried beans chicken, taco meat, etc
lime if desired
sun tea:
1 teaspoon of organic black tea per 8 oz of filtered water or 1 tea bag per 8 oz of water. you can use whatever size jar you would like.
fill a reusable tea bag with loose leaf tea, or place your tea bags in the jar. make sure the tea bags are plastic-free and made from organic, natural materials.
pour filtered water over the tea bags, place the lid on the jar, and put outside in the sun.
let the jar sit for 3-5 hours in the sun. after it’s done, the tea will be infused and you can sweeten it with sugar or honey if desired. serve over ice and enjoy!

I wish I could enjoy cooking as you do! I'm a slow living youtuber and love to delight in all the simple delights of living a slow lifestyle but cooking and gardening is so hard for me to get into! I just don't have the drive or patience for it. Luckily, my husband is a marvelous chef! :) Beautiful filmmaking and storytelling as always

I always wondered what the soul is, I imagined it as a feather like thing, bony and it floats around, nobody explained it like this to me! Now I am 43 but always stayed 27 in my heart and I feel it is like the essence of who you are, but this essence isn’t fragile and under attack from the outside, it never was. The soul cannot be destroyed it can’t also be nurtured, it simply is. And I feel in my heart it is from inside out. This celebration of live in this vid is an expression of that which cannot be named, the sacred, what old cultures lived for. You can also be free in a totally hostile environment. Just wanted to hear maybe from others what they refer to what’s the soul is?

Interesting... I've always been fascinated by the concept of soul myself. It's within us but many of just don't seem to be aware of its existence at least most of our lives. Or maybe we just take it for granted, ignoring its existence and importance.

Now that I have my own garden in the cottage I am so excited to start my more seasonal cooking journey 💚 I still remember the joys as a kid, when around Christmas time we would eat the delicious cinnamon and plum preserve made in late summer and it was the tastiest thing ever 🤤

Have no idea, how I'm ended up watching this video on the middle of the night, but it's so inspiring and calming! I shall be really grateful for such a good recommendation from KZfaq. I've just enjoyed simple, but gorgeous things. I grew up in a tiny village somewhere in the middle of Ukraine and since I remember myself, we were growing up and preserving own food for winter. I've never though, that living in one of the most developed European countries and having opportunity to buy fresh fruits and veggies all the year will make me missing those moments. In one of your videos I heard words, that this work hard but in same time it is for your soul. I must admit, that it is pure truth. Sorry for long comment, but I really want to wish You luck and happiness.

I don't know if people know this but in India people till date eat meals made of only seasonal fruits and vegetables. We disdain any packaged products, most stuff is yes preserved in various forms if to be eaten in a different season . The only packaged products most people buy is imported products ( like avocado, blueberries, Italian pasta etc..) These videos just calm me down and make me feel grounded and I tend to get less restless while cooking fresh food daily . So,a big thank you 😊♥️.

Your videos make me so grateful to be living out in the country to grow our own food, and trade produce and cooked meals for eggs, meat, etc. Our raspberry and blueberry bushes have been planted for two summers now and are still not yielding any fruit. aww, thank you so much! 🌻 i would suggest pruning in the fall and fertilizing throughout the year. ours have been established for over a decade and are only beginning to be prolific, so it takes time!

Love your videos so much. We have a jar of sun tea going almost every day. Even in the winter I’ll set it in a window that’s sunny so we can get the same experience as in the summer. Something my mother always did and now I do.
