You have practically created a permanent outdoors village/palace. With that much effort having gone into the construction of these semi-permanent structures/mini cabins you’re pretty much committed to that spot as essentially a homestead of sorts. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that philosophy, if you truly enjoy that particular location and use it as a base to explore the surrounding woods and enjoy your peaceful solitude in the wilderness. I must say you’ve made the place pretty comfortable, too; with quality gear and living amenities. I also appreciate the underlying magical and fun-like aspects of this romantic wilderness setting experience. Good to see your dad is right there with you, as well.

Well what can I say that’s not already been said. I have 100% admiration and respect to both you and your father. I think you are both very special people and I bet your teachers would like to have half the knowledge and determination that you have. Everyone needs to subscribe to you channel. I have! All the best. Take care and stay safe. Steve

Part of my sleep system, especially in cold weather, is two pair of extra socks. I change my socks to the fresh clean ones just before climbing in the sleeping bag. Then switch back to the day socks in the morning. Happy feet make a happy camper :>

I always pay special attention to keeping my feet warm and happy. I've had frostbite in my toes so if I let them get cold it's very painful and I won't be able to walk for a week. You only have to get frostbite once and it effects you the rest of your life.

MANY years ago, in the boy scouts U.S.A. in the hand book it said to change your socks before bed as the day socks will be moist and keep your feet cold. The problem is I went years before I learned this. Every day when camping all us boys would talk about how we had to sleep with cold feet. Dry feet are warm feet. Dave.

That is nice to have your father to help you out with your camp and I love the setup is and it really reminds me of the main camp Survival Lily has. Both of you are great examples for other women to let them know that women like men can survive in the wilderness without the help of men. I got a late start on survival training in the wild, but do love it all and wish to conquer the recurved bow which I have not put together yet.

Love that you and your dad are out doors and living off the land, so to speak. Great job dad, you've done very well. I have 3 daughters and only one is willing to go in the woods with me and do any bush crafting or even mushroom hunting. Living in Michigan, we have many forests and I grew up in the midst of national forest so it's heart warming to see you 2 doing this.

I have never really seen this side of the UK. As a foreigner, I get caught in the stereotypes of what I "think" a particular country looks and the UK always seemed to be rolling grassy hills with stone walls...and castles of course! I am impressed by how large the trees are there. You have many of the same trees and birds as we do here in Victoria BC. You know a lot for someone so young really. Looks like your Dad plays a big roll...he must be pretty proud to have a daughter who is up for this stuff.

great camp.great video.Always interesting to see how other people dress and set up their camp-you have a very well established one;I bet you and your dad have put a lot of work into its construction.Love your burner-really efficient way to burn/have a fire.used to have something similar made from a large gas bottle, yours is better though-flat top for cooking and an ideal size. I have a polish tipi/lavvu like your dad ,really good temporary structures.great design when you think they are just 2 canvas ponchos buttoned together.I hope one day to go wild camping with my daughter.so its lovely to see you folks doing it.anyway, thanks for a great video!

Don't see many using the fuzz sticks (I guess feather sticks in your neck of the woods). If that is intended to be a permanent camp, might be a good idea to gather good chunky rocks with some flat sides and some clay and sand to make a rocket stove. What is nice about them is even if the fire goes out and if you have a windbreak for it, it will throw off heat for hours. Nice for those wee hours of the dark morning when you are in your best rem sleep mode and do not want to have to get up to stoke the fire. Use less wood overall and better heat control for cooking. Love this video, not many younger gals such as yourself willing to do all this. And with your dad too, sweet!

Great video. Beautiful area you're in and the camp looks good. I love the your dog, absolute stunner, used to have 2 golden retrievers when I was younger. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
