More than one? To be fair the 3 that shaq made was a 10/10 on the difficulty scale. It was a buzzer beater from damn near half court and he had to catch and shoot it off an inbounds pass while running from a defender with less than a second on the clock. Shaq may not have made more than one three in his career but the one he did make sure was nice.

The game doesn’t translate well for girls from high school and college to pro a lot of the times. They have to be 22 to get drafted so a lot of them get hurt before they can go pro. A lot of the college women’s coaches aren’t as supportive of young talent so they make even some of the best girls come off the bench which limits the shine and buzz they can get to get more pro scouts attention. It’s a lot more that needs to change for the women’s game in order to make the wnba more entertaining but they never talk about this stuff for whatever reason it’s all the guys’ fault 😂

This is so interesting. I've never paid attention to HS basketball for men or women...but these were some great highlights. As a basketball fan I've always said it's not women basketball thats not entertaining, it's the WNBA that for some reason just doesn't do it for me. Women's college basketball is fun and exciting but the women's pro stuff just seems slow and boring and I can't put a finger on why. After watching this clip I might have to look into watching some women's HS ball that ladies can fucking ball.

Well the league is still fairly new. I’m sure if we saw the footage for the nba when it was 25 years old it wasn’t what it is now. These girls will make it when the wnba is like 35 years old so the competition will change and it’ll be far more competitive and have more action. Only time will tell

You won't lol you'll leave this video and forget all about women's basketball again. These clips are nice and all but I'm not seeing any true evolution like the title and so many people in the comments claim. Women have been dunking, few and far between for a long time. Very few and far between. This isn't new. Nothing in this clip was new and it's pretty disrespectful to some of the greats that have played in the WNBA to say that these HS players are more entertaining. If we're being honest, the reason why the WNBA players get paid so meagerly compared to the men's league is because the WNBA doesn't generate revenue. Since the mid-2000s, the NBA has been funding the WNBA. If it weren't for that, they'd be out of business. Now, if you really care about women's sports and think they deserve better pay, go see a damn game or 2, buy some merch but don't come in here commenting like you're some good person because you can say some nice things about women's sports. That's not good enough.

The players evolved tried things added things etc. Womens basketball is evolving the same way Men had a 50 yr head start from NBA to WNBA. The women will eventually catch up the doing more moves they trying to dunk. just by seeing it could be done so many more girls are dunking in the last 5 years. Im glad to see people start to take notice but we gotta stop bashing the wnba like if they are supposed to be doing what the nba does. I know people gonna say well they always talking trash let them it makes them better and more exciting to watch but real ballers know the girls aint talking that same trash face to face they know the nba guys are elite. @@generalkayoss7347 That doesn't mean anything, it's still the largest women's basketball professional association, and is under the NBA. I stated "serious league", not "profitable" league. And with growth they've pulled $60 million in revenue but had an expenditure of $70. Assume the natural progress of growth that they've had, they'll be profitable soon enough, especially if they continue to increase revenues by 10% like they did recently. Also, there could be potentially much more attention to the league if people weren't constantly trying to find more and more reasons to defame the league. Lastly, I don't entirely understand people's obsession with the league, and their need to find any reason to make a mockery of it. If you don't care about the league, that's perfectly fine, just stay out of it.

But people, for some reason, have an obsession to hound on the league whenever possible when it has nothing to do with them. I love Bill Burr, but like he said, none of y'all give a fuck about the WNBA, if none of these guys that I've been seeing on the comments care. Why are they always in the WNBA comment sections? Why must they ALWAYS make a point that has been rehashed into absurdity?

I really wish they'd drop the rim to 9-9.5ft so we can see some good poster dunks. If they keep it at 10ft, we'd probably have to wait 10-20 years for the athleticism to catch up to where we can see good dunks. I mean, it took this long for the shooting to evolve to a pretty decent form. Used to be, it look like players were heaving it from inside the 3(still does for a lot of WNBA players today).

@@WILTALK More dunking = less missed layups = more entertaining. There is more to basketball than dunking, but there is more to the NBA/WNBA than fundamental plays, it's mostly the business of entertainment. The problem with the WNBA is that the league is just starting to pick up steam with young women choosing to focus on the sport. When this happens, women's college basketball, and even some of the high school players, end up looking more competitive with that talent than the WNBA itself does.

Yeah, WNBA salaries are pretty much regular professional's money so if you have the physical abilities and skill to play WNBA, it's not a given that you'd head to the WNBA, it's just as likely to use that scholarship to be a doctor or lawyer or some profession like that and end up making more money.

What I love is that these women are not only skilled, but they're playing loose and free. Before, there weren't too many women who didn't play by a cookbook, no matter how skilled they were. Now these women are shaking and baking, straight cooking the opposition. Women's basketball has a bright future ahead with this talent.

I also went to a college with a powerhouse program, who I had the good fortune of having classes across the street from their arena. 😂 The schools that played below the top 25 weren't just way less talented. They played like robots. Even when they had some level of skill, they didn't have a clue what to do outside of the offense to make plays. While the skill level has gone up some, the basketball IQ has gone up by leaps and bounds.

The thing in male basketball that teams don't like is what the WNBA needs. They need a dribble nut that actually have crazy handles and bring something new to the sport. Get a female Kyrie or James Harden lol and that's pure entertainment. Then just like Curry or A.I. you'll lead the next generation to develop those skills. Like I know girls look up to NBA stars too, but might be different seeing a female star doing it and getting notice for it. Like female ballers can shoot and drive to the rim no problem but exposive plays is what's missing.
