This was actually the first K-Pop song I ever heard. Had no clue what the F was going on, but it was so damn catchy. I remember this being really popular upon release. It was all over the 2009 internet. Forever iconic.

Trivia Time 1. This MV was originally shot in 4:3 aspect ratio. It was later remastered into 16:9 (widescreen), as shown here. 2. In 2009, Gee won 9 consecutive times on Music Bank, which broke the 8-win record by Jewelry the year before. This was later broken by Psy's Gangnam Syle in 2012 with 10 consecutive wins. 3. Girls Generation, more commonly known as SNSD, is second in all-time wins on Music Bank, just behind BTS. 4. Gee was the most watched Kpop video on KZfaq until Psy's Gangnam Style. 5. This is the song that started the global Kpop craze. Yes. It. Is.

This was the first Girls' Generation song/MV that i ever heard/saw back in March 2009... back then my parents just installed cable TV and this MV was on MTV, i didn't know what KPOP was and thought that they were a JPOP group and were singing in Japanese lol >.< Didn't take me long to be a fan of this amazing group! And yeah, this song/MV is a staple in KPOP.

Lol same I discovered the music video back in 2016 and I was really into j-pop at the time and the mv was suggested on KZfaq to me I've been into K-pop ever since

@@colejennings1793 oh nice which JPOP artist were you a fan of back then? I was also into JPOP in 2016, I took a break from KPOP from 2015 until 2018 (due to Jessica leaving SNSD in 2014 and i was just so jaded with KPOP), and became a huge fan of Nogizaka46 (they're now arguably the #1 girlgroup in JPOP)... i got back into KPOP in 2018 because of Produce48 (one of my JPOP oshis Miyawaki Sakura was on that program) and the debut of IZ*ONE.

LMAO all these ppl telling you it's Minho, the vid is like 2 years old. I still hella laughed thinking 'oh man, I bet when they found out they were like "daaaayum".' Great reaction! LOLOLOL Got to the end of the video....LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLOLOLOLOL I knew it. Too funny. Great reaction.

this song is so damn goated it makes me mad whenever i hear it because it slaps so hard. this was my first ever kpop song way back when (along w/ abracadabra by b.e.g but i didn't fully process it as my soshi blinds were equipped) and i fell in deep afterwards.. i was so young back then so tbh i thought they were the only korean girl group that existed but after removing the soshi blinds i was introduced to so much more amazing shxt thank you snsd wow, forever my queens.

Gosh this brings back memories, I downloaded the mv in my 3rd generation Ipod. Yes Ipod, not iPhone lol. Girls Generation was everywhere! Everyone knew them (still do) , this was one of the songs that drew people in, along with SUJU's sorry sorry and other second gen. Groups. SNSD is titled nation's girl group and I believe they still hold that title despite being on haitus~ Members are still active, doing solos, acting, appearing in variety shows etc. Ps: I know they've said it already but that's Minho in the mv hahaha 😆

Gee and exo's Growl are korea's national anthem during 2nd-3rd gen Kpop lol. SNSD is the pioneer with this concept~~ Can't wait for more SNSD and TVXQ reactions
