Second generation k-pop is still awesome - SNSD, T-ARA, 2NE1, KARA - so many great groups and great music. I would never have become a k-pop fan without them. They paved the way for the worldwide success of today's groups.

i really love Soshi ❤

i was pretty late to k-culture so my journey as a sone began when the show "run on" came out. without even knowing who she was, i was drawn to sooyoung. when i learned that she was a singer i looked up her solo song winters breath and loved it. for whatever reason, i just didnt look up any snsd songs at that time. then hyo released deep and i instantly loved that. i looked up her back catalog and finally listened to snsd for the first time. because the first songs i listened to were gee and oh, i got a wrong impression that they only did the cute/soft concept/sound. i didnt hate the songs at all, i just didnt love them enough to listen to anything else. then one day i saw invu in the sidebar so i clicked on it, loved it, and delved into taeyeons songs. still didnt give snsd a second chance. then comes forever 1. i got to see their personalities during all of the pre-release promotions and basically fell in love with them. so i finally start listening to the rest of their songs. run devil run was the first and i loved it. that led me to i got a boy- super loved that, same next song with the boys. suddenly i had a realization that i probably actually love this group and yeah, over the next days/weeks i like to think that i became a bona fide sone. now in august of 2023 into the new world is one of my all time favorite songs, literally a must sing along with when it comes on.
