Again a role in which she excels with charming use of head and upperbody and arms ..Presentation. and characterisation perfect. Effortless super technique. She dances with every part of her body .

Alina makes me believe. I fall for Giselle even knowing what comes next. Alina is a fine actor. There is much dance-gestures-are-mime here.

Wow Alina's acting is spot on and love the little gestures where he keeps offering his hand and then playfully snatching it away. He does care but she's a lot more invested. A sign of what's to come.... 😔

The corps. This is probably my favorite corps piece to do. You can be totally free and lose yourself in the music. Love it!

thx a bunch for posting this. I like them both. Alina is such a lovely Giselle, and Manuel, though much older than Alina, remains in perfect shape with youth liveliness.

I love Manuel Legris - he has perfect chemistry with Ms Cojocaru. You believe that they love each other. I also love the soft tapping of the shoes on stage. I would LOVE to see this performance in its entirety.

I don't know of a full length recording of this particular performance, but there is a DVD of her with Kobberg (her significant other) available on Amazon.

how old is legris here? anyone know? alina is probably the best giselle ever,what makes her so enchanting to watch is her natural ability to act.she really nails this role

@urranuss This performance was in the summer of 2006, which means that Legris was 41 years old at the time. (He was born in Oct. 10, 1964)
