For configuring alias for notepad++, we need to provide full path of .exe file, otherwise npp is not working. here is the update: alias npp="/c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Notepad++/notepad++.exe" let me know if i need to correct anything

I felt this steps are very easy to give the Alias Name and to open the notepad++ : start notepad++ start notepad++ alias np='start notepad++' np Note: I tried to open the notepad++ after setting environment variable but it shown error as "bash: notepad++: command not found". If this is the case with you as well try above steps it worked for me.
