I was a nurse all of my adult life. I learned early on that the patient who is on the light constantly needs attention. Most times not because of a change in their physical condition but emotionally. The best way to deal with it was to go into the room, pull up a chair, and give them time. It's hard because of work load but in the end, you save time and fill their need. All living things need to connect.
