I've watched this a few times now and I'm increasingly convinced that the people who go 'Wooo' every time he mentions Jack Daniels by name either don't understand that he's currently singing a song about what an abomination of a liquor JD is, or simply don't care and would go 'Wooo' if he said the name of any drink they recognise the name of...

I'll admit that Jack Daniels is better than Jim Beam, for instance, but that's like saying hosershit is better than cowshit.

Went on the Glen Moray tour this morning. A fine single malt. And they do use Jack Daniels casks to mature the whisky, and this song explains it all, and Rich, if you ever want to explore Speyside, just give me a yell!!

@SimonIntense Scottish Swill? Single malt is the best buddy, and the whole point of this video is exactly that.

I realised that it was quite poor taste to quote this song to Texans who wanted to drink Jack Daniels.

Businessman Mark Evans was researching his family history when he discovered a recipe in a book of herbal remedies. It was written in 1853 by his great-great grandmother who was called Daniels and was a local herbalist in Llanelli, South Wales. Her brother-in-law left the Welsh town at about the same time to move to Lynchburg Tennessee where the Jack Daniel's distillery was opened three years later. And the Jack Daniel's website states the founder of the distillery was from Wales. Mr Evans says the ingredients in his great-great grandmother's recipe match what goes into the best selling whiskey in the world. (It's still shit and better suited as a medicine than a social drink!)
