GIVE PEACE A CHANCE
John Lennon. Russian lyrics - Stas Namin
The cult song by John Lennon, written in 1969 against the war in Vietnam and became the universal anti-war anthem. The idea to perform it in Russian, Ukrainian and English together with the children choir was born few days prior to The Flowers’ concert in Moscow on November 14, 2014. With the permission of Yoko Ono it was included into Jim Brown’s historical documentary Free to Rock (about the influence of rock music upon the world politics).

ALL WE ARE SAYING IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE
In the White House, as in the Kremlin
As all the politicians in the world
Always argue who will be the captain on the boat
ALL WE ARE SAYING IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE (rus)
Oligarchs and Presidents
Are counting their dividends,
Each swaggering in his own way
ALL WE ARE SAYING IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE (rus)
Duma, Rada, Right Quadrant
Militias and Feds
What happened? Suddenly they all lost their brains?
ALL WE ARE SAYING IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE (rus)
