It was more frustrating than anything. Literally all he had to do was let go. The second you let go of the handle the mower shuts off and the blades lock.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. That was a very dangerous situation especially when it came up off the ground. I think the guy thought it’d run away from him and hit something if he let it go, which is way better than someone losing their feet

I've used a few machines that require you to continuously hold the handle in order for it to work. Let go of the handle and it disengages. All safe.
