What they don't show is the loud POP! noise it makes when the lock releases. Or, the loud gear grinding noise as the unit goes back to lock mode. The dogs trying to get in faster than the unit can respond is also another issue. Had to put the door in "always unlocked" mode, which it then is nothing more than a dumb flap door.

I see lots of room for improvement in this door. 1.Needs an Ac power source or solar connection.2 Wifi connection3. camera on both sides of door 3.bluethooth transmitter with cheap battery's you can buy anywhere . But the most important feature I would upgrade is that hinge at the top I have seen many photos of complete failure of this part.

Does this work the same on a steel door? any issues with connectivity ?

So my dog hates the dangling bell of a smart key and has chewed up two of them while on her collar...do you have a sleeker version maybe something that runs along the collar rather than dangling off of it?

Thank you for your great question, Anthony. Regrettably, we do not offer an alternate SmartKey at this time. We're sorry for any inconvenience. However, if your dog is able to reach the key while wearing her collar, you may find it helpful to try tightening the collar or using a smaller size collar so she cannot reach the key so easily.

Yeah.... But how do i get these Smart Keys to work. Instructions don't seem to help.

Thanks guys, spoke with the US support, the door is faulty from new, they asked me to reach out to the Australian support team to get it replaced. @@petsafebrand

How to get a smart key? We moved to a house that has a smart door but we don’t have a smart key to put it on my dog
