Exactly. It's so weird that DC has been struggling to adapt their best stories for the last decade or so, when the cartoons already did it years earlier. They already have the blueprint for the stories that they should go with, they just need to follow that now.

@@solecon64 yeah thats what some fans have being saying, but dont know if anyobodys listening really. As much as I like Burtons peculiar batman movies, or Nolans and Reeves "realistic" take on batman, its weird that. It utterly baffles me that they ever chose to give Snyder of all ppl, the goal to setup their main cinematic universe. Like or hate Snyder, he should ve being an elseworlds creator, ready to sacrifice any respect for the characters to benefit his own ideological framework. As much as I appreciate creative freedom, I cant stand having 30 years of dc movies with not really a single movie that actually respects the character's foundamental characteristics(besides wonderwoman perhaps, which was followed by 1984....).As for batman, I doubt that we will ever get a really good, movie adaptation comic-booky wise, cause the high earning blockbuster formula doesnt work with the character's core. Batman would only truly shine through the serial format( kinda like daredevil), that could only occassionaly spawn blockbuster movies as extensions of the series( kinda like the x-files did, or again..the dcau). But it might happen eventually, if not by wb, perhaps when batman eventually becomes public domain, or when disney swallows the whole industry lol.

Totally agree. All Star Superman always fights for the top spot in my preferences with For All Seasons, because I just love everything from Loeb and Sale, but Morrison's story still wins.

Yeah, that's my plan for the future. I've mainly focused on the stories that I had collected as single issues up until now, but I do hope to move on to collected editions soon.
