Your reaction was my first time hearing this song too. I love the way Aurora opens up her heart with her songs. I'm an old guy and found Aurora's music on KZfaq about 8 months ago. I was really stuck listening to classic rock (like most old guys) and along came Aurora and opened up a whole new universe of music, lyrics, talent and pure joy. It really is difficult to find people who appreciate Aurora on the same level that I do. Some people “like” her music, but our feelings go far beyond that. There is nothing to not LOVE about AURORA. I was so nervous before I first heard it. I wanted it to be good so so badly. I was just anxious.... And yeah...it is SO much more than I was expecting. This is just such a cathartic crystalline song...feels like glacial ice looks...just total clarity and honesty and joy, but all balanced by a very real human understanding of the darkness. You hear that in the lyrics for sure...but also her vocal tonality...and the instrumentation...all of it. What an excellent song. Totally surprised me. It's just very emotional, isn't it?
