Being an Egyptian and having Feraligatr being my favorite from Johto, the convergents of the Totodile line is my absolute favorite! The others are sick as hell too

Chilean here, i LOVED the fact that the artist used the colo-colo as inspiration, since it was my favourite legend when i was a child (when we were young, we usually had to take legends for spanish class, and the mapuches legends were usually the biggest choices). Also fun fact, the person Colo-Colo also inspired the name of the biggest or one of the biggest national futbol (soccer) team in Chile with the same name and with the face of the hero as their logo.

Ironically, rock-flying-fighting is one of the trios that works exactly like grass-water-fire, so this actually works really well

I would love to see a dark, fighting and psychic type versions of the gen 4 starters because this was specifically the gen when people thought pokemon would change the type trio.

A while ago I created my own rock type Chikotita line. It was part of a project where I did exactly what this series intend - to create alternate alternate universe starters with different typings and names. The difference is that my line was called Lithorita - Baylith - Meganeral and had the amethyst as its gem of inspiration. This granted the final stage a secondary Psychic type cause of the correlation of said gem with mystical properties

I love the creativity with all the Pokémon, I really like that Pharohligatr is quadraped, I can't wait for hoenn!

I instantly noticed the Conquest connection. Though, it's funny the Starter Types are those that aren't their Main Type. Hideyoshi's Specialty and Perfect Link is Fire/Fighting (Infernape), but he's the Fire-Type Leader (with access to Reshiram). Ieyasu's Specialty and Perfect Link is Steel/Rock (Aggron), but he's the Steel-Type Leader (with access to Registeel). Nobunaga does have Rayquaza, but he's the Dragon-Type Leader (and his Specialty and Perfect Link is Dragon/Electric with Zekrom to match as original Legendary, and Hydreigon beforehand).

you should do the Dark-Psychic-Fighting type trio for Hoenn Fighting Sceptile Psychic Blaziken Dark Swampert And maybe for Sinnoh you could do Fairy - Steel - Fighting Fairy Infernape Steel Torterra Fighting Empoleon

Fun Fact, those Japanese historical figures were also present in the ‘Warriors’ Franchise; the game being Samurai Warriors: Chronicles. It’s a really fun game that I had for the 3DS, and it also provides an interesting look in the fighting of the clans of early Japan, and how the nation was formed.

I love the creativity and quality of the pokemon you create! They could also be convergent evolution pokemon, like toedscool and wiglett, instead of AU starters, but if that is the narrative that you think is better, then I respect that. I hope you have a great day :)

I Love this design. Everything makes sense and is backed up by reference. I could totally see them as a Regional form or a Convergent evolution and would pick them over the originals.

They all look awesome, I think I even like Megamorph more than Meganium. But I'd still choose Totonile.

Now I wish we'd have a separate game with these fellas in there xD Along with a handful of the other Johto/Kanto pokemon receiving some ties to irl ancient cultures. Would be super!

If I could request something, I had an idea for a Pokémon that I’d love for you to flesh out, because I kinda suck at that, my idea is a fairy/ghost type based on bedsheet ghosts and the saying “the dead never rest”.

I really like these designs! Would love to see the Totodile line as a regional variant for an Egypt based region, and while Cyndaquil has always been my favorite and I like the flying type, I kinda wish it had been light blue instead of gray for the darker parts of the body in the line. The body looks monochrome, and kinda off, but I'm no artist and that is just the unimportant opinion of some rando on the internet lol

With how much we’ve lately been seeing Pokémon from separate evolution lines who are still very similar to each other (E.g. Tentacool and Toadscool), this feels like it could actually be incorporated into a real Pokémon game. They wouldn’t have to be the starters you choose from at the start of the game, but they could be a set that you can choose from later as the story progresses (something similar to the 2 Kanto starters you get to pick from in Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armour DLC). Or they could just be wild Pokémon.

Sobek is one of my favourite gods, and crocodiles are one of my favourite animals. Well done to you for using both, Brandon.

When your done with swapping the types of the starter Pokémon of very region could you maybe make an animation video of what their Pokédex entries would be and if that video gets tons of like could you make another version of that video but their Pokédexes entries were literal or even maybe make them realistic like as if they were in real life please?

Heres an idea, pokemon groups swap roles, example eevee as an elctrick type partner pokemon with a pre-evolution and a evolution as pichu and raichu equivalents and a pure normal type pikachu with several different branching evolutions of the various different types, the evolutions can use raichu as a base to give Pikachu the sams consistency eevee has between all their different possible evolutions
