We will go into why Gyro Gearloose made the Gizmosuit, how Fenton came to where it, and how he earned his place as a hero of Duckburg. From his very first appearance in Super DuckTales as a bean counter turned accountant to his move up in Astro B.O.Y.D. from intern to doctor, we are going to cover everything we know about this superhero!

I thought that's what made 1987 Fenton so relatable. He lived on the bottom rungs of society. He lived in a trailer park with his momma and the dialogue between them breaks my heart. 1987 Fenton comes home wanting to celebrate his new job. He brought home a frosted cake and he was so excited about finally moving up in the world after he begged Scrooge McDuck. Granted, Fenton knew nothing about accounting and he although he wasn't qualified for the position Scrooge hired him after how fast he could count. Aside from learning accounting on the job from a banana bran brochure... Gyro gave him that chance to do what he always dreamt of doing. And you know I thought that's how everyone feels from time to time. Fenton - But I got a new job! Mama Fenton - Oh, blathering blatherskite. What's wrong with a good job like bean counting? Fenton - It doesn't count! I wanna be something more important than that! I want more out of life MORE, MORE, MORE! Mama Fenton - More? You have everything you could want right here in this trailer. Fenton - It may be enough for you but it isn't enough for me! Haven't you ever wanted something really badly, momma? Scrooge opened that door Fenton was always waiting for.

I definitely agree with both of you on that statement! Like we need more Hispanic representation and I really enjoy how amazing well they were able to translate that through Fenton/Gizmoduck’s character! I really appreciated too that they made him a Spanish Super Hero because we don’t really even have characters like that from other superhero shows/movies, he was certainly the icing on top of this delicious Ducktales Reboot! 😆😄

Gizmoduck is the Superman to Darkwing's Batman. An arguably superior hero with a less bleak outlook. Darkwing can be a true hero, and we've seen when sufficiently motivated he can take on just about any danger, but his frequent bouts of glory-seeking and ego have kept him down time and time again.

I love the old Magical World of Disney Sunday night movies. Mimicking the old Wonderful World of Disney, Eisner would start each movie by introducing himself, the characters (usually in park form) and a little bit about the movie before it aired. In a time in which you could not purchase Disney VHS or even rent them, this was the only way my generation got to see classics that weren’t rereleased into theaters. I had this TV special recorded, splash mountain included, and even remember rewatching it in my treehouse, the one time me and my dad spent the night there. It was an interesting time, because Disney would introduce each new Disney Afternoon series with a movie during prime time, which eventually would reair as the first 4 episodes of each series. It prompted Spielberg into releasing the first Tiny Toons episode as a long prime time special. Duck tales wasn’t a new series, but Gizmoduck was a new story arch for the season. And in 1990, Ducktales would get a full theatrical released movie, so airing this rather than just the episodes was appropriate.

Me: I hope your referring to the new Darkwing Duck and not the old one,(cause I heard,I think it was from you that the new Darkwing Duck that is fame crazed his voice actor played the old Darkwing.)because the old one was the bomb,because he didn't let fame get to his head even thought he was cocky and big headed and at the end of the day/night he always did the right thing and he's the best dad in the world,speaking of both Darkwings I got to say I like the costume design of the old Darkwing and the fact that the bad guys/people were scared of him,the new Darkwing come on there not even afraid of him.
