"I know what to do, I don't have to figure it out". That's exactly what Bobby Fischer hated about chess. It's 90% memorization. Memory is not intelligence. Intelligence is intuition, creativity and logical problem-solving. Don't get me wrong, he surely is a genius. But 90% of what he does is purely mechanical and I don't think it has a lot to do with intelligence.
@maheshdawani5933
@maheshdawani5933 2 күн бұрын
lmao kiddo, still a lot better than fisher,magnus literally promotes 960 chess because magnus also hates memorisation,although he is best at it.if you compare them by intelligence ,magnus>>>fisher because magnus play more natural and magical moves.

This guy is the best that's ever been in history. No one in the next thousand years will be able to surpass him.
@JoeJoe-uh5rp
@JoeJoe-uh5rp 9 күн бұрын
probably not, he’s definitely the best right now, but memory isn’t everything and at a certain point it starts getting less useful. He also said himself that he doesn’t think he’s the best chess player of all time since he had an advantage. Someone will probably surpass his peak in less than a 100 years, especially since it’s easier to improve in future generations.

@@JoeJoe-uh5rpbro plss don't talk rubbish can you name a single player who was better than magnus in the history,don't say kasparov as at that time blitz and rapid was not there,and fisher is not even in the discussion,So magnus is the true GOAT
@JoeJoe-uh5rp
@JoeJoe-uh5rp 9 күн бұрын
@@nikhildawani2913 your argument is stupid, kasparov and fischer aren’t better than magnus, but they had more potential and would definitely be better if they had the same technology as magnus, magnus has a huge advantage over both of them, him being the best of all time doesn’t mean anything 😂, kasparov and fischer literally said that themselves. Rapid and blitz isn’t actual chess, it’s just a different format, those don’t count. Do your research before arguing.
@nikhildawani2913
@nikhildawani2913 9 күн бұрын
are you stupid??how can you predict that they have more potential than magnus,how many times fisher became wc??less than magnus and kasparov both,and with technology competition has also increased,live in present I would say magnus and kasparov are close but fisher is not in the discussion of domination,and you smoke or what??blitz and rapid is chess but with faster time controls 960 is a variant,say something sensible kiddo

Depending on how you define functional, I’d argue Scrabble’s Nigel Richards might be more functional (more introverted and withdrawn, but apparently friendlier and more personable). And regardless of how you define functional, I think checkers’ Marion Tinsley was more functional (seems to have been a normal, well-adjusted mathematician outside of checkers).

Some humans I believe are aliens, they are special, almost supernatural powers, no matter how much training you could never replicate their accomplishments, to play blind fold chess with one board is insane but to play blindfold chess against 10, 15, 20 people is just utterly mind boggling to me.
