I love this song, and live version with the band is even better! And yeah you can tell Jimin worked really hard to find his voice. 💜 Taeyang was Jimins idol for a long time so this collab happening was beautiful to me.

They wrote the song together. Taeyang is coming back after 6 years away. Someone from his label suggested working with Jimin. Best collab so far. And the live version is even better. Thanks for all you do!!♾️💜❤️💜💕

Mad respect to Taeyang for collab'ing rather than feat. Jimin. It takes a confident and incredible artist to do that with someone of Jimin's caliber. Taeyang and Jimin came across as equals on the song, both of them were amazing and have drawn rave reviews, neither outdid the other - a sign of their skill and their respect for each other as artists. I believe it is a large part of why this song is insanely good. Also, based on Taeyang's comments, Jimin put in the hard work and I'm guessing that was a significant contributing factor to the equality (Jimin is credited on composing, which says a lot right there). On the MV and the song, this is a case where less is so much more. To strip it down to the core for the set, the singing, the instruments, the dancing, requires some pretty amazing talented and hardworking artists, if they weren't excellent it would have been so obviously bad. We reaped the benefit of an MV/song that lets us experience the essence of their art. As others have commented, the live is even better. Jimin and Taeyang are top tier artists and the live version, which feels like a tiny desk home concert, lets that shine through even more.

Absolutely! I just wrote something very similar. For Taeyang to see the magic of the two of them together and realize what they could make together here and not feel threatened but inspired by Jimin’s contribution days so much about Taeyang’s musical abilities and his confidence and integrity. I love everything about this collaboration. Just so fun and beautiful.

Taeyang has a reputation for being a generous performer, and I think it really shows here. The song suits both of them beautifully and you can see in the live that they're just both proud as hell to celebrate each other.

More people need to know about Taeyang! He was Jimin's idol. He's from BIG BANG, the original KPOP Boy Band, before the BTS came along. Taeyang is a member of BIGBANG They debuted in 2006 and are considered "The Kings of KPOP" for all the things they have created to modernize KPOP over the years. TAEYANG is a legend in the KPOP world I always love him!😍😍😍 He’s the reason I got into BIGBANG and kpop. My most fav was instantly Taeyang with GD. Check out Wedding Dress, I Need a Girl, and Eyes Nose Lips by Taeyang!

Firstly, Taeyang is a legend and I love him. But Big Bang was actually a 2nd generation KPop group, so they were not the original KPop boy band. And I’ve never heard anyone anoint them the “Kings of KPop”, except maybe their fandom. They were THE top band of the their generation, yes, and contributed a lot to KPop at that time but no other group has done more for KPop than BTS. BTS made it mainstream music; and have actually transcended KPop; they made it possible for other groups to perform in the West - U.S. in particular. Even Teddy, CEO of Taeyang’s label, admitted that BTS did, in fact, ‘pave the way’. He was also the one who suggested Taeyang do a song with Jimin and they waited two years to have him (as soon as BTS’ went on hiatus).

Vibe is a brilliant collaboration. Also, I love Bang Bang Bang but I wish people would see other videos! Like if you showed them Cafe...I think they would be shocked it is so unlike anything else that has been released in kpop. It really shows Big Bang's roots and how out of the box they are from other kpop artists just like BTS kind of does their own thing. Ugh, I'm going to go watch the live version from MADE now as it's my favorite video on the internet.

I agree with what you said about how much Jimin contributed to the song. I absolutely loved it and respect Taeyang so much for allowing that and not being threatened by it. Instead, he could see how fantastic Jimin’s contribution highlighted his own gifts and talents. Them together, is just so heartwarming and beautiful.

Taeyang came from boy group Big bang 2nd gen kpop before BTS. Bigbang is one of the biggest influencers to BTS and Jimin is a big fan of Taeyang. I must say that this was an unexpected collab ever happen. 2 Top groups in Kpop collab together. Thats really insane.

This was Taeyang’s comeback song since he came back from the military , got married etc.. plus this song was produced with his new label “Black’. Tae commented on Jimin’s work ethics and says that they literally had 20 takes before Jimin was happy with the collab. lol . Tae was Jimin’s big inspiration growing up . Thanks for reacting ❤

Taeyang is Jimin's idol and they mad appreciate & respect each other a lot, even though they are from two different worlds. We have seen this in many interviews with Taeyang where he talks about Vibe also behind the scene.

bigbang are still together but only 4 members now and if i remember correctly only gd is still signed under yg. taeyang is now under theblacklabel which is a subsidiary of yg owned by teddy (who produces most of blackpink’s stuff). for some context with the taeyang jimin partnership, taeyang has been a big inspiration for jimin since predebut and taeyang said that the conversation of working together came up very organically. he also said in another interview that he was very motivated by seeing how much passion jimin put into working on the collab.

It was really a collab more than a feature. Taeyang talked about Jimin working on different parts of the song. Everything from the music to the choreo, which apparently they picked out together. BTS does not pay or recieve pay for collabs or features. They do an exchange. Halsey featured on Boy With Love and Suga featured on Halsey's album. Same thing with Juice World. I'm curious to see what the 2nd collabs for artists like Meghan the Stallion and Taeyang will look like in the future. I mean Taeyang is friends with Namjoon too. And Suga has said he would love to produce a song for Taeyang. Oh the possiblities!

Their voices compliment each other so well. I have to agree his voice definitely evolve so well 8:49 I remember JK said, Jimin voice is different he need to find the style that best fits his vocal. I love this song. I'm happy to see Taeyang back after so many years, and the guy doesn't grow old. His vocals are as great as ever. And I'm glad he did this song with Jimin (who is my fave in BTS). I hope you can check out Taeyang's solo tracks (I saw you already watched some BigBang MVs) like "Eyes, Nose, Lips" and "Wedding Dress".

Taeyang (he is 34) is from BigBang (2nd generation in KPOP). He admired Michael Jackson growing up and Jimin admired Taeyang!!! I absolutely love this colab and song!!! They both rocked it equally! It almost has a Bell Biv DeVoe sound - the song Poison. 🎵 ♥️💜

Be sure to watch their new "VIBE" live performance.. it is Amazing!!! The 4 members of BigBang did not renew their contracts, but like GOT7 they plan to still perform together as they can.... Taeyang signed with BlackLabel. Taeyang has some great solos from earlier in his career worth hearing: 1 - Eyes Nose Lips. ... I prefer his live extended version (5:26) from their world tour *MADE* in Seoul ... the best on is on TOP 12325 KZfaq channel. His MV's for it are good but this extended version really showcases Taeyang's talent. 2 - Wedding Dress mv 3 - I Need a Girl -- the Official mv features G-Dragon from BigBang, so you get 2 for 1.. Also, if you haven't, check out their comeback mv/song from last year "Still Life"

When you said jimins voice seemed to get younger I think it might be because when he first debuted he did his best to come off as manlier and would add more rasp and growl to his voice. He was even teased by the other members because of his high pitched speaking voice and you could sometimes see his speaking voice sound deep when he first started talking but as he got lost in conversation his natural high pitch speaking voice would come out. But some time around 2017 he stopped caring and actually exploring his tone. He even said in their 2018 documentary "I think I wanted to appear like a strong man. Now I don't have to pretend, I can just be myself”🥰🥰🥰

About Jimin's voice - he's definitely refined his technique and leaned into his voice's unique color over the years, but this performance still showed us more - the live even more so. A good bit of this is pretty low in his range, but he's carried the bright color of his upper register down. It sounds stronger and more stable and comfortable for him. I love it and it makes me even more excited for his solo album - because I think he's been exploring what he can do as a soloist and that's a bit of what we're seeing here.

Mad respect for Taeyang. He has so much talent and in fact Jimin's idol since pre debut. However Jimin could easily make this his song!!! He is so versatile like the range man! Melodic rapping at the start then singing then Sounding like angels descending from heaven. Not to mention the dancing. As usual since it's Taeyang, i prefer the live version. Hope you guys can check it out too & also Suga's interview with Taeyang. 😊 PS. Taeyang is not just one of the Legendary king of kpop & live but also known as the Prince if not the king of K-RnB. He's also one of the best dancer & can rap too. He & GDragon originally should be a Hip-hop Duo but the former YGE CEO change it to a group. Actually for me, SB19's journey is kinda similar to Bigbang musically & hardships during training days like short on foods (their manager keeping foods from GD & Taeyang), being called ugly esp Daesung, TOP got rejected coz his fat & Seungri not a good vocalist, etc.. Musically Pablo & GDragon is kinda similar on Lyricism, producing, giving parts to members base on their vocal abilities. Both groups also similar on performing who preferred live singing & stage presence.

To be honest, I got to know Taeyang because of Jimin, I didn't watch much Korean pop. The harmony in their voices is great, they are two stars with beautiful visuals. But Jimin's voice, his dance, his high notes, his handsomeness, his magical beauty are beyond unbelievable.Watch their live performance.Very nice in live version

Guys the live version with a live band 🔥🔥🔥 Also, there is a photo sketch of the filming of the video on BangtanTV. Taeyang is on the Black label which is a label started by YG entertainment main producer. It’s his first song six years. Taeyang got married, finished military service, became a dad and now he is back. 2gen and their fandom VIPs refer to him as the Korean Usher. Jimin is a huge fan of Taeyang and Usher. He’s on video singing a Taeyang song and dancing. Taeyang was shown the 2014 video he smiled and said about Jimin, he is so young. YG has a business relationship with HYBE. I believe that is how they ended up working together. I think YG/ The Black Label ‘s name is Teddy. He suggested Jimin to Taeyang. Big Bang recorded one song/video last year. It was their goodbye. Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Eyes, Nose, Lips (by Taeyang) i heard for the 1st time a few weeks ago. I love this song. I hear Taeyang is always naked, snorts. I like Wedding Dress by him too good song. Sad video though. Taemin is Jimin's pal but he is also an idol Jimin looks up too besides Taeyang(of Big Bang). Taemin is from Shinee. He is the maknae of the group. Taemin has a lot of solo's and I recently started checking him out more. Taemin is now my bias actually. 😅Jimin got so much inspo from him but he is still a different artist. It's so fascinating to see the similarities and differences. Taeyang I don't know much about but I hope to learn more. He was gone for 6 yrs. He is married and a dad now. Jimin also looks up to him and I bet this collab is a dream come true. The song is catchy. I love it. I am going to listen to it as much as possible. Jimin's dance pulls me in and no more focus here. lol. I saw the teasers with Jimin and no shirt and i have not been well since. He got vocals and moves. Seeing these older legends and spotting little pieces of Jimin is so fun and cool. Taeyang said they WILL be doing music shows!!! So excited. Need a dance practice ASAP too! Taeyang is Jimin's idol. He adores him, Taemin and Rain too. Jimin learned how to play Wedding Dress on the piano. Like he is a big fan of this guy and the group. Taeyang did sample Bruno Mars Finesse. Funny u mentioned him but did not notice the sample. Taeyang from group called BigBang disband 2019. Taeyang was always Jimin mentor and idol, Jimin wanted l say with Taeyang one day glad it came true. Taeyang BigBang is 2nd generation of kpop BTS is 3nd generation. Bigband help to mold BTS ready look up to them. Taeyang is a solo artist now but haven't been of the scene in 6 years. They're both helping each other. Jimin's solo album should be released in February and Taeyang is working on his new solo album also. Jimin is Global Ambassador for Dior 2023 Taeyang is Global Ambassador for Givenchy 2023. Taeyang and Jimin also did a live for this song you should check it out. Taeyang said Jimin help him to step back out into music after 6yrs Jimin said Taeyang helped him not to be so nervous with his new solo album coming now. Fyi, teddy Park is the producer. He produces most of the hits for the label. Fyi taeyang is a major Michael Jackson fan. Big bang is still together, they just haven't released in a few years

If you’re interested in the difference of the tone color (timbre) of the singers, may I suggest “Last dance” or “If you (live in Bangkok)” by Bigbang. 🙂

I’d have to say that all the comments have said all and anything I could say to inform and educate you to the background particulars. I do like the Live version better, but I am partial to live music, it’s kinda like a Tiny Desk Performance for one song and it is totally different! BELL BIV DeVOE - ‘Poison’ (90s) baby!!!!! This song was mainly 💯 90s inspired - I know because I was there in my 20s (you weren’t)!!! And sorry but Taeyang is only 3 years younger than Mars, so they were into music at the SAME TIME - no copying him or inspiration there! Yes, they both were/are hugely inspired by MJ and there were a couple of dance scenes where Taeyang paid homage to him but the rest is them and THEIR song. Mars didn’t invent anything, nor did he ‘change the world of music’; the music was already there from the 80s and 90s - Mars had NOTHING to do with the 90s (except mimicking the artists from that era) - he didn’t exist then!!! I hate it when this comes up because too much credit is being given to Mars!!!! Taeyang is a legend, a musical genius on his own! Two legends from past and present came together and it’s magic - So please…I wish reactors would stop bringing Mars into it! p.s. There are many examples of Jimin’s low register, raspy voice and vocal fry (also he can rap) in BTS songs, particularly their early songs - when he was 7-10 years younger even. Never underestimate our Jiminie!!!

I got to know Big Bang year 2009. 2013-BTS, then 2019-SB19... What these 3 groups have in common? They all started as underdogs. And they all became my all time fave groups. They all have their own uniqueness.
