It's starting to get cooler in the mornings and I was thinking about plaid shirts. It struck me that I could make a great faux plaid with drywall tape. So, here are some cards with the results. I hope you like them!!

I love your nails! I always look forward to Sunday afternoons to see all these new ideas that you’re bringing to us. And congratulations on your ratings and I have some new concepts that I’ve been studying myself lately. I’ll probably share with you sometime this week and get your opinion. I got some work being done at the house so that may be time that I can sit down and send you a text and I have a question on the cuddle bug. you take care my friend ✂️💌

Hi there Julia, how wonderful that your channel is growing, and yes, you have over 4000 subscribers. You know the only way to go is up! Julia, these cards are delightful, and a great use of all the scraps at the same time. It is so rewarding being able to make two whole cards form limited supplies. In card making there are always imperfections, but it is these little imperfections that make the card original and one of a kind. I have learnt to embrace them and pretend that it was meant to be there... LOL! 🤣 In my earlier cardmaking days I was always lifting up the stamp too early, and not getting a good impression. Of course, I realise that now, and I am so thankful for the Misti. I rarely stamp using acrylic blocks these days... well that is unless I am using my Art Impression stamps where it is best to use acrylic blocks. The smallest acrylic blocks (I have 8 of them) measure 1" x 1" necessary for the smallest AI stamps. God's blessings, love and hugs. Gloria 🤗☕🍰🌷❤

G'Day Gloria! We have both learned a lot along the way haven't we?! That acrylic set really works best on a stamp platform because it is just a little hardened out. I bought it used and don't know the history. It's not often I run into that problem. But, with care I can make a good impression by hand stamping on top of the little upside down mousepad. It gives just enough cush! Take good care my Friend! God's Blessings to you! Julia

Hi Julia. Loved your plaid cards. I wouldn't have thought of turquoise and red plaid for Christmas but it sure looked great. There was something fresh and appealing about that colour combination. Loved how you put them together. We were both thinking plaid this week. I was rumbling around in some of my scrap items and came across (from where I do not remember) a few sheets of a red and green sort of diamond shaped plaid. So I have managed to get 10 or so layering pieces. Sorry you had so many issues with your video today, but for the record it turned out great. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦

Hey Denise - I love some of the older rubber stamps. And the fact that some of them are over 25 years old and still making great impressions really makes me an advocate for buying used stamps. Personally, I think some of the new stamps lack a bit of creativity. But if you look at the details on some of the old PSX or even the old SU stamps they really are remarkably artistic. But, I do understand the charm in being able to see through the stamps when you need to. So, perhaps that's why I have such a large collection???!!! LOL
