This may sound dumb, but even though this movie is 20+ years old, every time i hear this song, i cant help but cry. Reminds me of the movie but, more importantly, the feelings that this song brings forward - sad yet relieved. Its just soo beautiful 😭🥰

My mother was loved this song, so she want to play this song even at her funeral. When 2 years ago, she go on tour to find her freedom. I played Gladiator OST at her sleeping site. I love this version so much Mathias. My 5 month old won’t fall sleep unless he listens to this version of “Now We Are Free”, since he was 3.5 months old. No matter how fussy he is, he just has to hear this song and he’s calm. Sometimes works for his twin sister too, but she’s into a different genre of music. Thank you ❤.

I.ll be damn, my guy... Here i am... after 20 years from the moment i heard this track... and now,.. and i must say, after hearing trillions of different renditions of this track, that this one hits different. All credits to the great master Hanz Zimmer. Now... I.m the type of amateur asshole who decomposes music while listening to it on repeat for hours.. and I have to say that your version, your rendition, your touch to this this track is more than amazing. The main theme... the piano touches, the strings.... the soft choir, everything. The momennt i heard the little accent of acoustic gutar and then you compensate with the electric guitar.. adds so muuch beauty to it. I love that you "dialed down" a bit the 2.nd part of the song... with the flute..and just a little bit of choir. Amazing.... but.... BUT.... you beautiful creature... the best part of the song for me, are the drums... HOLLY FUCKING CHRIST the drums are badass. The rithm the way they sound, the arrangement , the rough "power"...amazing... so.... thank you. Thank you kindly for this. You have gained a new sub.. I shall watch your career with great interest.
