Here because I just read about Mr John Anderson. Heartbroken as he, along with the Gladiators themselves, was a part of my childhood, with some of my happiest memories just being sat watching Gladiators. I used to say "Gladiators ready! Contenders ready!" & "3, 2, 1" with John when Gladiators was on. My thoughts & condolences to John's family, friends, colleagues, fellow fans & everyone else who knows & loves him. Rest In Peace sir & thank you for being my favourite referee ever.

i may have only been 5 during its heyday but it was essential Saturday night TV just like baywatch, you did not mess with john anderson he laid down the law especially with the wolfman, i also seem to recall they did a special with the american gladiators, i know they also did a series called the ashes as well.

+Wheeloffo... Yes it was. Eunice was a gladiator called blaze but not on the TV series

@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 She appeared on a Live Show event at Wembley Arena back in 1995, she then became the ‘North’ Team Coach on the 5th Series of ‘Gladiators - The Challenge’ later that year and then went on to become a stuntwoman for a few major blockbuster films such as ‘Lara Croft - Tomb Raider’ and ‘The World Is Not Enough’

@@JackpotButtonLewis I've seen series 5(1996) Eunice was the northern coach (for Buster Reeves and Sarah Damm) and Phil Norman(93 male champion) was the southern team coach for Mark Mottram + Andreya Wharry who were the 1996 Champions

She became one on the live shows but never on TV. Which is a great shame because she deserved it.

After winning the title in the third series and the International title being one of the most loved contenders they have ever seen, they asked Eunice to become a Gladiator, which she accepted and thus in a live show, Blaze was revealed. However shortly after the live show, the Ashes was arranged and the UK needed contenders who were both good and willing to travel to Australia so Blaze had to retire as a Glad to compete as a Contender once more.

Yes! He Is! Currently Aged 90 Years Old and hasn’t changed at all!

@@dominicaaaaa5547 That was definitely him back then when he was interviewed for ITN Showbiz in promotional material for the Sky1 Revival Series of ‘Gladiators’ from back 15 years ago this year in 2008.

@@dominicaaaaa5547 To my knowledge, he still trains upcoming athletes in British Athletics, including ones that participated in the recent 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic Games.

Well Vulcan was an ex Australia Gladiator who was their bad Glad. Vulcan and Wolf played off each other in the second International series and the two Ashes series. After Australia stopped Gladiators around the time we started Season 6, Vulcan asked to join our show in Season 7 to play off Wolf to be the international Gladiator Villain, in one episode John Anderson even made Vulcan and Wolf go up against each other on Duel.
