And with a version of this theme too. It's actually been extended slightly from the ITV opening titles version, and that gives away that it s actually a new recording as that part is different to this one's equivalent instrumental segment.

The two most memorable parts of this show to me were this theme and the referee, John Anderson. "Contenders, RRRRRRREADY!!!! Gladiators, RRRRRRREADY!!!! THREE! TWO! ONE! *FWEEEEE*"

Loved this show as a kid watching it every Saturday night. Actually going back on utube now and watching all the series. All the gladiators are brilliant, but my favorite female gladiator is definitely Lightning, insanely gorgeous and a great gladiator, especially at Hang Tough. She was also the only female gladiator to star in Series 1 all the way to the end of the series :)

Wow, I've been watching the new series and it's just so toned down compared to the original. There's like 8 events repeated over and over. The "wall" is just a flat surface with screwed-in hand holds, the pugil sticks in Duel are 95% foam and no stick which means they look like they're having a pillow fight, and Gauntlet is just a joke because the Gladiators can't do shit without getting disqualified. The new series is a woke joke.
